Centre for Research in Advanced Fluid Flow and Processes (Fluid Centre), UMPSA is excited to invite you to the Workshop on X-ray Diffraction: Basic Theory and Data Interpretation using X’Pert HighScore Plus Software.
Who should attend: This workshop is open to researchers, scientists and students who are interested in materials characterization using XRD.
Highlights of the workshop:
1. Introduction to X-Ray Diffraction principle, XRD instrumentation and sample preparation techniques.
2. Introduction to profile fitting using Le-bail, Pawley and HKL method to determine precise peak positions, peak areas and FWHM for crystallite size measurement and measurement of amorphous content.
3. Hands-on training on sample preparation, the use of X’Pert HighScore Plus Software for phase identification and quantification using the Rietveld method.
E-Certificate will be provided to the participants.
