At CurioTots Child Care & Preschool, our children are also starting to explore AI as a new creative tool for expression and learning. ๐คโจ
This week in AI class, our preschoolers discovered how to use AI tool and synchronize both spoken and sung voices to automatically create a talking/singing character video.
The children:
๐ต Sang a short song with rhythm and clear pronunciation
๐ญ Chose characters and backgrounds that matched their song
๐ Recorded their own voices
๐ค Watched AI transform a still character into an animated singing video
Through the activity, students discovered that the AI character does not actually โunderstand emotionsโ, it follows sound patterns from their recording and synchronizes the mouth movement automatically.
They also learned an important AI concept:
โจ Clearer input creates better AI output.
What made the activity exciting was seeing their originally โboringโ character suddenly come alive with animation and their own voice! The children loved hearing themselves through the character and experimenting with how the AI responded to different singing styles and rhythm.
