In today's world, teaching AI in schools is no longer an option. If schools do not teach the students, they will learn it their own way. Either way, they will eventually learn how to use AI.

The big question is whether they learn to use it the right way?

In The Life Academy, we do not hinder students from using AI. We teach them how to use AI as a tool for learning and prepare them for the future.

Almost half of students across the OECD use chatbots for learning at least once a week.

That’s according to the new , the largest global survey of 15-year-old students.

It also found that:

➡️ 14% of students reported never (or almost never) using AI for schoolwork, across the .

➡️ Students who make the greatest use of AI tend to come from advantaged backgrounds.

➡️ 63% of students across the OECD report having tasks that require them to check the accuracy of AI-generated information.

DID GOD DESIGN THE MOON FOR US?

Many watched in awe as a total solar eclipse swept across the sky on 12 August 2026 but how many actually know how unique and significant our Moon is?

When scientists look closely at our Moon, they find features that seem almost impossible to explain by pure coincidence:
• The Perfect Eclipse Ratio: The Sun's diameter is 400 times greater than the Moon, and coincidentally the Sun is also nearly precisely 400 times further away. This makes them appear the exact same size in the sky, creating total solar eclipses (like the one seen yesterday) with odds so staggering that many wonder how it could be random chance.
• Unusually Large Size: The Moon is disproportionately large compared to its mother planet.
• Near-Perfect Circular Orbit: It is the only known moon in the solar system with a near-perfect circular orbit rather than an elliptical one.
• Abnormally Close Proximity: The Moon orbits much closer to Earth than it statistically should given its large size.

Beyond its optical marvels during an eclipse, ask yourself: why is the Moon so essential to our very existence?
• Stabilizing the Axial Tilt: The Moon acts as a stabilizing force for Earth's axis; without it, the axial tilt would swing wildly, changing seasons unpredictably.
• Sustaining Life and Seasons: By keeping Earth's tilt and climate stable, the Moon helps maintain predictable seasons, creating an environment that makes human survival possible.

Could something so finely tuned for our survival, paired with such breathtaking celestial precision, truly be the result of a blind, accidental roll of the cosmic dice?

When we look at the intricate precision required to sustain life on Earth, Scripture offers a profound perspective on the Creator behind the cosmos:
"When I consider your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars, which you have set in place, what is mankind that you are mindful of them, human beings that you care for them?" — Psalm 8:3-4
"He appointed the moon for seasons; the sun knows its setting." — Psalm 104:19

As you ponder the mysteries of the universe, ask yourself: is the perfection of our cosmos an accidental coincidence, or is it the intentional design of God, who carefully set the Moon in its place for us?

“Being wrong is part of being a scientist. We’re wrong all the time. One of the jokes that I use all the time, but it’s not a joke, it’s really true, is when we got to the point of trying to identify this gene, we had 20 possible genes it could be. I prioritised those genes. The gene that was responsible was the last gene, which means I could not have been more wrong in my prioritisation. It’s absolutely the most wrong thing I could have done. We got it eventually, so it was still there, but it was because there was nothing left. It’s not because I was smart or had any foresight.”

Teaching Today:
📌Differentiate for every learner
📌Integrate technology daily
📌Raise test scores
📌Close achievement gaps
📌Be trauma-informed
📌Be culturally responsive
📌Build relationships with every student
📌Track endless data
📌Document every intervention
📌Handle behavior with fewer consequences
📌Manage student mental health concerns
📌Constantly communicate with parents
📌Answer WhatsApp messages at all hours
📌Post objectives and “I can” statements
📌Align everything to standards often not age appropriate.
📌Use approved strategies during walkthroughs
📌Keep students constantly engaged
📌Upload grades immediately
📌Be counselor, mediator, nurse, social worker, and tech support.
📌Prepare for and practice safety lock downs.
📌Oh yeah and teach academics. 😌

Meanwhile:
🫣Parents are quicker to challenge teachers
🫣Discipline systems are weaker
🫣Expectations are higher
🫣Respect is lower
🫣And teachers are blamed for problems far beyond the classroom

Teaching was never easy, but we still do it because we are passionate to shape the next generation for the better.
