Abacus is the most ancient device used for calculations. It is mainly used to solve basic arithmetic problems, such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. Here are some quick facts about the abacus for you!
1️⃣The Russian abacus is known as the ‘schoty’. It is different as it is not divided into decks.
2️⃣China is considered to be the place origin of the abacus as the original written documentation is dated in the second century BC.
3️⃣Cranmer abacus is used by blind people to perform calculations easily and quickly.
4️⃣Chinese version of abacus is known as "suan pan"
