As at 2019, more than 30% of Malaysia's forests (4.37 million ha) are currently certified under the PEFC certification, an international body that promotes sustainable management of forests across the world.
After joining as a Chain of Custody Holder in 2018, we had the incredible opportunity to develop finished products using our local certified wood - something that is still quite unheard of in our region since a large majority of our certified logs are exported as raw materials.
As a green manufacturer, we had the privilege of founding Malaysia's first PEFC-certified homeware brand, Dapo as well as Asia's first PEFC-certified home accessories brand, Oran & Bula. With these brands, we hope to expand to international markets with our unique range of locally designed and crafted certified products.
With support from Malaysian Timber Certification Council and Malaysian Timber Council, we are honoured to be recognised by PEFC for our efforts to advocate for sustainable production & consumption in our region.
A big thank you to PEFC International for featuring our journey!
PEFC Feels at Home in Malaysia

We had the honour of being featured in Ambiente, the only trade magazine for decorative goods, kitchen and table accessories in Poland! We hope to garner further coverage from international media, especially in Europe, in order for us to reach audiences outside of our region.
Back home, Harith Green Carpenter (HGC) was also recently featured as one of '4 Malaysian Furniture Designers to look out for' in Home & Decor Malaysia as he champions green lifestyle products using sustainable materials.

Last month, we had the privilege of developing products for Star Media Group & Star Property Sdn Bhd. In support of Malaysia's sustainable products, they specified their requirements for sustainable materials and sought our brands HGC - Harith Green Carpenter and Dapo to develop such items.
We are seeing an increasing number of companies approaching us with similar needs and are pleased to see an upward trend in demand for sustainable products. This demonstrates that the green wave is gradually becoming a prevalent requirement for corporate & business industries here in Malaysia.
We are committed to facilitating this growing demand by championing green innovations and increasing our outreach efforts to spread awareness about Malaysia's accessibility to greener products. There is still a long road ahead but we hope to inspire more people to support this cause through more sustainable consumption.

We have recently been selected to join the Professional Design Program (PDP) organised by the Malaysian Timber industry Board (MTIB) and will be working closely with Canadian designer Blaine Robert and local designer Bo Qiang in developing products for our HGC brand. The new product designs aims to suit our European market needs.
Instead of focusing on product cost, we believe in competing through design and sustainability. We've carved ourselves a niche by pioneering the green design segment and will continue to innovate and lead the market towards this direction. With support from our stakeholders, we aim to be a dominant player in the international scene.
