Together, we’ve grown—not only as speakers, but as leaders, professionals, and global citizens. And beyond personal growth, we continue to create a positive impact in our community.

🌟 Proud moment for our club! 🌟

Last Saturday, March 28th, our members Sonia Estrada and Maira Dávalos represented Area C2 at the Division C contest, competing in Table Topics (Spanish) and the International Speech Contest (English).

Held at Museo de Periodismo y Artes Gráficas, better known as Casa de los Perros, the event brought together talented speakers from Jalisco and Michoacán.

While they didn’t advance to the next stage, they gained something just as valuable: experience, confidence, and growth as speakers 💪🎤

A big thank you to Marisol Estrada, Sergio de León, and Ana Luisa Gómez for being there to support!

What’s your next summit? 🗻

In tonight’s session, our member Maira Dávalos delivered a compelling speech comparing the preparation required to climb a mountain with the journey of advancing as a speaker. Through powerful metaphors—such as having a clear summit goal, the right climbing gear, a season of training, supportive climbing companions, an expert guide, and a fixed climbing date—she illustrated that public speaking demands the same level of intention and discipline.

Seeing images of mountain climbers inspired us to work steadily toward new heights in our public speaking journey.

We grow when we dare to push our limits. 🎤 This morning, our members ⭐️ Sonia Estrada, ⭐️ Ana Luisa Gómez, and ⭐️ Maira Dávalos proudly represented our beloved club at the Area C2 Contest in Guadalajara, Jalisco, competing in Table Topics (Spanish), Oratory (Spanish), and the International Speech Contest, respectively. 🎖️

We’re excited 😃 to share that Sonia and Maira will move on to represent Area C2 at the Division C Contest on February 21, 2026. We are incredibly proud of their participation and can’t wait to witness their continued growth as they advance through this inspiring journey.

Competing may seem simple, but managing your train of thought, maintaining congruent body language, handling emotional pressure, and staying focused under the spotlight is truly a challenge. Their courage and commitment remind us what growth is all about. 👏🏼
