Learn to knit, spin, felt and play with humour and ease in workshops designed to build your skills. With Birchblanket Workshops, dedicated fibre arts instructor Kathleen believes everyone - yes, you! - can easily learn the skills and confidence to pursue the projects you want to work on. Each workshop is a two-hour timeblock designed to give you the instruction you need to complete the skill-build
ing project - and each project has application to a larger project (i.e., a small knitted cupwarmer will teach you skills for a hat or shawl or sweater). Larger projects will have two or more timeblocks. Workshops are delivered in three ways:
Small workshops: instructor-led hands-on instruction to groups of 3-6, over 2 hours. Most workshops have supplies included (except needles) for the project. Specific in-house workshops are anchored in the calendar. Other workshops can be booked with 3+ person interest, or off-site wherever you like! Semi-private workshops: instructor-led hands-on instruction to two people - since often it can be more fun and encouraging to learn with a buddy. Supplies for the project can be included,
Private hourly lessons: One-on-one instruction and knitting guidance designed to transfer knowledge and skill-building in techniques, at your pace. Lots of value add to a private knitting guide...tips, tricks and wisdom all included.
