The Deep Eddy pool in Austin was 💯. If you’re ever visiting there I highly recommend you jump in for a splash. Just be warned the math on a 33.3 yard pool is hard 🤣

Today posted a story revealing the new mascot.

I’m not certain why a mascot was needed, but here we are and here it is.

I am disappointed seeing the minstrel-like characteristics of the arms, legs, and gloves. I don’t know how something like this gets past any sort of leadership with a green light.

Minstrel performance started in the 1800s where white performers wore black face and white gloves to create a caricature effect - it reinforced stereotypes of Black people that have had significant and lasting impact.

The influence of these performances has seeped into other parts of American culture - for example - Mickey Mouse and Felix the Cat are examples of cartoons that borrow or draw from the aesthetic of minstelsy.

In 2026 I’d hope a global company would do better to consider the impact of creating a character that borrows these aesthetic traits of a very problematic, damaging moment in history.

Another weekend in the books! Disneyland is very different to WDW - glad to have the opportunity to race here before the Disneyland races go away.

A huge congratulations to on ANOTHER World Championship finish.

To train for 70.3 WC in Marbella, Sarah got creative in putting together some massively big gain rides in Ohio. She also did a mini camp in Boulder to get used to more sustained climbs and descents.

She exceeded expectations on an incredibly difficult course and we are proud of the solid 2025 season she put together.

Well done Sarah!!!
