🎧 Pronunciation Tip: "The vibrant 'R'".

Exercise: Repeat the words " perro", "rápido" and "correr" emphasising the vibration of the 'R'.
Tip: The soft vibration of the 'R' is key in Spanish. Place the tip of your tongue near the roof of your mouth and let it vibrate slightly.

📚 Expression of the day: "Estar en las nubes" ☁️

Meaning: when someone is distracted or thinking about something other than what is happening at that moment.

Example: "Durante la clase, me di cuenta de que estaba en las nubes pensando en mis próximas vacaciones." (During class, I realized I was in the clouds thinking about my upcoming vacation)

*Spanish vocabulary - List of jobs and professions

Generally speaking, the vast majority of Spanish occupation or professions names have a masculine form ending in -o and a feminine one ending in -a:
Mesero/mesera (Waiter – waitress)

Some professions use the same word for both men and women:
Taxista (taxi driver) or Cantante (singer)

Small Exception: Actor
Actor is one exception to this rule, and the only one you’re likely to run into usually.
Actor (actor) and actríz (actress)
