If “just think positive” advice feels fake,
forced, or secretly annoys you…
There’s a reason
ADHD brains can default fast to:
what’s not working
what went wrong
what might go sideways
replaying that moment 47 different ways over 47 days
When you’re in that loop...
and someone tells you to “just be positive"
I bet you WANNA SCREAMMM
Because you’re out here saying: “I love this”
while your nervous system is screaming: “no I don’t”
And now it becomes a cute mindset band-aid on something that actually needs support
I get it
I've been there too many times
So instead of
"I can't do this"
or forcing "I love this"
I shift into useful thinking like...
“What’s one bite-sized step I can take right now”
The last thing we want is another "you can do it" pep talk
We just need one step that gets us out of our head and back into action
Save this for the next time "just think positive" makes you wanna scream
