Memorias del Clima es un nuevo proyecto colaborativo de las artistas Linda O’Keeffe (EE. UU.) y Leena Lee (MX). Invitamos a personas de todo el mundo a compartir breves grabaciones de audio o textos que reflejen cómo han cambiado sus entornos con el tiempo: recuerdos del clima, el paisaje, la pérdida, la renovación o la transformación.

Estas historias formarán parte de un archivo sonoro colectivo y se incluirán en futuros proyectos artísticos y de radio que exploran las dimensiones afectivas y ecológicas del cambio climático.

Climate Memories is a new collaborative project by artists Linda O’Keeffe (US) and Leena Lee (MX). We invite people from around the world to share short audio recordings or written texts reflecting on how their environments have changed over time — memories of weather, place, loss, renewal, or transformation.

These stories will form part of a growing sound archive and will feature in future radio and art projects exploring the emotional and ecological dimensions of climate change.

"El arte es posible en medio del estado actual de la técnica porque ha surgido de la apropiación profunda y la transformación radical del paisaje que ésta ha producido", señala Sebastián Lomelí en el libro que acaba de publicar *Prototipos : Procesos de investigación artística sobre tecnología y vida* (UNAM: México, 2025) y que está ya mismo disponible en línea de manera gratuita para que lo descarguen. Lomelí propone entender el arte no como objeto acabado, sino como proceso abierto, desplazando el foco de la obra final hacia las dinámicas de investigación y producción que la generan a partir de una discusión detallada con obras de arte relacionadas con la biotecnología. FILE 2025 – Open Call – Art and Technology
FILE is now accepting applications for the 2025 edition, inviting artists, creators, developers and researchers to submit their projects. This is a unique opportunity to exhibit your work in São Paulo, from July 15 to September 7, 2025, at the renowned FIESP Cultural Center.
We seek innovative and creative projects that integrate art and technology, both national and international, covering diverse areas such as installations, robotics, CGI, virtual and augmented realities, animations, mobile art, games, kinetic art, public art and much more. We value proposals that explore interaction with the public and the use of Artificial Intelligence, in various formats of artistic expression.
As a non-profit cultural organization, FILE promotes experimentation and development in the field of Art and Technology, providing a platform for artists to connect with new audiences. In this 24th edition, the festival continues its commitment to exploring the boundaries between technology and art.

Cultivamos Cultura Spring Lab 2 is a 10 day, interdisciplinary workshop bringing artists, scientists, scholars, and cultural creators together in dialogue around the imaginative force of Science Fiction, and the exciting vistas it opens for creative speculation and conceptual experimentation.

Spring Lab - Conversations Amongst Odd Kin takes place in an informal setting where participants cohabitate with each other and share a social and creative coexistence.Through a robust combination of theory and practice – hands-on exercises, lectures, debates, field trips, lab exercises, and experimentation with biologic materials as art media – everyone is encouraged to freely explore and investigate ideas and materials without being fixated on results. The program intentionally leaves plenty of time open for informa­­l learning and social activities, as well as resting when needed.

Vida y naturaleza son el tema de nuestro tiempo, entre lo que Evelyn Fox Keller llamó el siglo del gen, por un lado, y, por otro, el cambio climático, es decir, entre la posibilidad de comprender y manipular lo vivo a escala molecular y la destrucción a escala planetaria aparece el modo en el que hoy cabe pensar acerca de estos temas.
Si nombro estas escalas tan extremas es porque allí se juega mucho de lo que podemos pensar y decir sobre naturaleza y vida, más aún, allí se juegan muchos de nuestros sueños y esperanzas, del miedo ante la emergencia climática y el atestiguamiento de las transformaciones que sufre el planeta entre las que están la pérdida de biodiversidad y la amenaza a tantas formas de vida (humanas y no humanas); las grandes mentiras del capitalismo verde y la mal llamada “energía limpia”; hasta las novísimas técnicas de edición de ADN como CRISPR-Cas9.
