Con mucho gusto compartimos parte de lo que se vivió en la última visita de nuestro curso Speak Spanish, Live Yucatán.
En esta ocasión nos reunimos en el Museo de la Ciudad, el antiguo Palacio Federal de Correos para aprender más sobre la historia de Mérida mientras los alumnos aprecian las exposiciones y al final hablan de la pieza que más les gustó.
Es en definitiva, una forma diferente de aprender español y nuestra cultura.

With big pleasure we share part of what we lived on our last visit from our class Speak Spanish, Live Yucatán.
On this occasion we gathered at the City Museum, the old Federal Palace of Post Services to learn more about the history of Mérida while the students look at the expositions and at the end they talk about the piece they like the most.
Definitely, it's a different way of learning Spanish and our culture.

La 4ta sesión del curso Speak Spanish, Live Yucatán, nos llevó a visitar el mercado de San Sebastián, en el centro de Mérida.
Nos reunimos primero en frente de la iglesia para hablar sobre el barrio antiguo y sus tradiciones. Luego caminamos al mercado para practicar español.
La misión fue preguntar por el precio de frutas, verduras y comida.

The 4th session of the course Speak Spanish, Live Yucatán, took us to visit the market of San Sebastián, downtown Mérida.
We gathered first in front of the church to talk about the old neighborhood and its traditions. Then we walked to the market to practice Spanish.
The mission was to ask for prices of fruit, vegetables and food

La experiencia cultural de Speak Spanish, Live Yucatán, nos llevó a visitar el Palacio de Gobierno de Yucatán en el Centro de Mérida. La misión fue conocer más sobre los murales en el edificio, elegir alguno que les guste y hablar sobre ellos. La historia de Yucatán está plasmada en estás obras del artista Fernando Castro Pacheco.
¿Cuál será nuestra próxima parada?
Más que un curso de idiomas, esta es una venta de lo que es vivir en Yucatán.

The cultural experience of Speak Spanish, Live Yucatán, took us to visit the Government Palace of Yucatán, downtown Mérida. The mission was to learn about the murals in the building, choose one of their choice and talk about them. Yucatán history is printed on these pieces from the artist Fernando Castro Pacheco.
Which one will be our next stop?
More than a language course, this is a gateway for living in Yucatán.

Es nuestro honor absoluto presentarles a la generación 2025 -2026 de la clase de Español para Extranjeros.
En nuestra ceremonia de clausura, cada alumno presentó de forma oral un poema, un cuento, o una demostración en el idioma que aprendieron. Pronto les compartiremos un poco de lo que se vivió.
Cómo cada Viernes Social pudimos convivir y compartir bocadillos y postres.
Esperamos que pongan en práctica lo aprendido este en este curso y que disfruten al máximo del nuevo lugar al que ahora llaman hogar.

It's our absolute honor to present the 2025-2026 Spanish Class.
At our closing ceremony, each student presented a poem, a story, or a demonstration in the language they learned. Soon you'll see a bit of the experience.
As every Social Friday, we shared some snacks and desserts.
We hope they put into practice what they learned during this course and enjoy to the best the new place they now call home.

🏛 Week 1: Government Palace of Yucatán
Discover the history of Yucatán through its impressive murals while practicing introductions, descriptions, and everyday conversation.

🛍 Week 2: San Sebastián Market
Practice shopping, ordering food, asking questions, and interacting with local vendors in an authentic neighborhood market.

🏛 Week 3: Mérida City Museum
Learn about Mérida's history while improving your ability to describe places, people, and past events.

🌿 Week 4: Grand Museum of the Maya World
Explore the fascinating Maya civilization and share your own Yucatán experience using the Spanish you've learned throughout the program.
