Epitopes, also know as antigenic peptides, refers to a region in the proteins that generates an immune system activation. A peptide is a small amino acids chain. Given his structure, epitopes classify between two types: linear and nonlinear.
This project focuses on the detection of linear epitopes, that are composed of a continuum section of the amino acids chain that make up the protein.Classify B cell epitopes could boost the process of designing new vaccines.

Yucatan boasts a diverse array of melliferous plant species, resulting in high-demand honey internationally. Accurate analysis of honey's pollen grains is crucial for quality assessment and plant origin identification, traditionally conducted by skilled palynologists. This study introduces an enhanced model, employing a fully convolutional neural network, to automate pollen grain detection in microscopic images of four Yucatan plant species. The aim is to aid in the analysis of honey's origin designation.
