Primero preparamos las uvas y después las congelamos para poder disfrutarlas bien fresquitas en estos días tan calurosos. 😋❄️🍇 ¡Todos estaban felices de comerlas!
Además, fue una excelente oportunidad para practicar inglés con Besty y Angela. 🇺🇸💬✨

🍇✨ The children had so much fun in our cooking class with grapes! 👩‍🍳👨‍🍳
First, we prepared the grapes and then froze them so we could enjoy them nice and cold during these hot summer days. 😋❄️🍇 Everyone was so happy to eat them!
It was also a wonderful opportunity to practice English with Besty and Angela. 🇺🇸💬✨

En cada clase practican y mejoran su respiración, flexibilidad y relajación, pero sobre todo aprenden a conectar con su cuerpo y a disfrutar de un momento de calma. 🌿✨

✨ Curso de Verano en P**l Ki’imak 2026 ✨Hoy nuestros niños vivieron una experiencia muy especial al aprender a elaborar el tradicional Ojo de Dios. 🌈

Cada uno eligió con mucha emoción los colores de estambre que más le gustaban y, con paciencia, dedicación y mucha creatividad, fue dando vida a una pieza única. Fue muy bonito ver cómo pensaban en cada combinación de colores y disfrutaban cada momento del proceso.

Nos llena el corazón saber que este proyecto les encantó y que, además de aprender una nueva técnica, se llevaron una hermosa experiencia. ❤️

Agradecemos profundamente a Rubi Perez y Mauricio Cervantes por compartir su tiempo, su cariño y sus conocimientos con nuestros niños. 🫶

Today, our children enjoyed a very special experience as they learned how to make the traditional God’s Eye. 🌈

Each child carefully chose their favorite yarn colors and, with patience, creativity, and enthusiasm, created a unique piece of their own. It was wonderful to watch them experiment with color combinations and enjoy every step of the process.

It fills our hearts with joy to see how much they loved this project and how proud they were of their beautiful creations. ❤️

A heartfelt thank you to Rubí and Mau for generously sharing their time, kindness, and knowledge with our children. 🫶

We are so proud of every single God’s Eye they made. Each one is unique, beautiful, and a reflection of their creativity and dedication. 🦋✨

Curso de Verano en P**l Ki’imak 2026 🌿🐒
Hoy tuvimos una actividad muy especial con la Fundación Santuario Akumal .

Primero investigamos sobre algunos animales en la casa P**l Ki’imak:

* Mono araña (Ateles geoffroyi)
* Mono capuchino de cara blanca (Cebus capucinus)
* Caracal (Caracal caracal)
* Lémures

Después aprendimos mucho con Vidi, en Akumal Monkey Sanctuary . Los niños hicieron muchas preguntas sobre las curiosidades de cada especie y conocieron más sobre sus características y la importancia de protegerlas.

También participaron en una actividad de enriquecimiento ambiental, en la que conocieron cómo se prepara parte de la dieta de los animales utilizando materiales reciclados. Estas actividades ayudan a estimular su mente y a fomentar comportamientos naturales mientras buscan su alimento.

Los niños estaban muy emocionados de conocerlos. ❤️ Aman a los animales, por eso quieren cuidarlos y seguir aprendiendo cada día más sobre ellos.

P**l Ki’imak Summer Camp 2026 🌿🐒
Today we had a very special activity with the Akumal Foundation.

First, the children researched different animal species at P**l Ki’imak House:

* Spider Monkey (Ateles geoffroyi)
* White-faced Capuchin (Cebus capucinus)
* Caracal (Caracal caracal)
* Lemurs

After that, we had an amazing learning session with Vidi from Akumal Monkey Sanctuary. The children asked lots of questions, discovered fascinating facts about each species, and learned more about their unique characteristics and the importance of protecting wildlife.
They also observed an environmental enrichment activity, where the animals’ food was prepared using recycled materials. These enrichment activities encourage the animals to use their minds and natural instincts while searching for their food.
The children were incredibly excited to meet them! ❤️ They truly love animals, and that inspires them to care for wildlife and keep learning more every day.

Xook Ba’alche’ – Leyendo animales en lengua maya
¡En nuestro Curso de Verano seguimos aprendiendo mientras nos divertimos! ☀️

En esta actividad, los niños y niñas conocieron los nombres de animales e insectos en lengua maya, descubriendo que existen diferentes formas de nombrar lo que nos rodea y valorando la riqueza de nuestra cultura.

Con mucha emoción elaboraron una lotería, practicaron la pronunciación de las palabras en maya y reforzaron la identificación de los animales e insectos. Además, desarrollaron su creatividad al colorear y participar activamente en cada momento de la actividad. ☺️

Durante su tiempo libre también disfrutaron de un juego tradicional de los palitos chinos, poniendo en práctica su concentración, coordinación y paciencia mientras se divertían con sus compañeros.

Aprender una lengua también es una forma de preservar nuestras raíces y fortalecer nuestra identidad.

Xook Ba’alche’ – Learning Animal Names in the Maya Language 🦋🌿

Our Summer Course continues to be filled with fun and meaningful learning! ☀️

In this activity, the children learned the names of animals and insects in the Maya language, discovering that there are many ways to name the world around us while appreciating the richness of our cultural heritage.

With great enthusiasm, they created their own lotería game, practiced pronouncing Maya words, and strengthened their ability to recognize different animals and insects. They also expressed their creativity by coloring and actively participating throughout the activity. ☺️

During their free time, they enjoyed playing the traditional game of pick-up sticks, developing concentration, coordination, and patience while having fun with their friends.

Learning a language is also a way of preserving our roots and strengthening our identity. 💚

🧡 ¡Qué hermosa mañana compartimos en nuestra clase de cocina en inglés! 👩‍🍳🍓🍌

Hoy los niños prepararon un delicioso postre saludable con yogurt, granola y frutas. Mientras cocinaban, también aprendieron los nombres de los ingredientes en inglés y conocieron los beneficios de cada uno y cómo ayudan a cuidar nuestro cuerpo.

Lo más bonito fue ver sus sonrisas. Disfrutaron muchísimo preparando su propio postre y se lo comieron con mucho gusto. 😋😋😋 ¡Hasta decían que querían más!

Gracias de todo corazón, Betsy Jacobson, por organizar esta actividad con tanto cariño, traer todos los ingredientes y hacer posible esta linda clase.

Today, the children made a healthy dessert with yogurt, granola, and fresh fruit. While they were cooking, they also learned the names of the ingredients in English and discovered how each one helps keep our bodies healthy.

The best part was seeing their happy smiles! They had so much fun making their own dessert and enjoyed every bite. 😋😋😋 They even wanted more!

A huge thank you to Besty for organizing this special activity, bringing all the ingredients, and leading such a fun and meaningful class.

We would also like to thank Dani, Rubi, Mau, and Karla for their support, kindness, and care for the children. 🧡 Your help made this activity even more special.

¡Hoy disfrutamos de una maravillosa clase sobre los animales marinos!

Comenzamos conversando sobre la importancia del mar, el papel fundamental que desempeña para los animales y para los seres humanos, y cómo podemos contribuir a su cuidado. Después vimos un video educativo que despertó la curiosidad de todos.

Más tarde, los niños realizaron un hermoso collage: pintaron papeles, los recortaron y los pegaron con mucha creatividad. ¡Los resultados quedaron realmente preciosos! 🧡✨

Agradecemos de todo corazón a Nancy Nayeli Ixmat por preparar una clase tan bonita, dinámica y llena de aprendizaje. ¡Gracias por inspirar a nuestros pequeños 🪼🐠🌅

🌈 Summer Course 2026 🐠🌊

Today we had a wonderful class about marine animals!

We started by talking about the importance of the ocean, the essential role it plays for both animals and humans, and how we can all help protect it. Then we watched an educational video that sparked the children’s curiosity.

After that, the children created beautiful collages. They painted paper, cut it out, and glued the pieces together with lots of creativity. The final projects turned out absolutely beautiful! 🧡✨

A heartfelt thank you to Nancy for preparing such a fun, engaging, and educational class. Thank you for inspiring our little ones and making today such a memorable experience! 🫶💙
