A brand new students' society has been launched at the University of Malawi. 18th September, 2026 marks the significant milestone in terms of the professional development of students pursuing a Bachelors degree in Human Resource Management.
Gracing the auspicious occasion was a team from the Institute of People Management Malawi comprising Mr Godwin Sam Ng'oma- Immediate Past President, Mrs Rhoda Kumwenda, Acting Executive Director, Mr Tony Chitimatima Chiphwanya from the Marketing sub committee and Mr Rodwell Ziyaya, Marketing and Business Development Officer.
Mr Godwin Sam Ng'oma, who delivered a key note address titled "Beyond the Degree: Building Your Professional Future” challenged the students to think beyond just obtaining the degree but begin to explore ways that will enable them develop professionally.
The event was also a platform to welcome new students that are joining the programme at first and third year levels. We are proud of their choice to join us!
We are grateful to the Institute of People Management Malawi as well as the Leadership and Management Studies Department at the University of Malawi for the financial support that made the dream of launching a students society become a reality. We shall forever be grateful.
