Discerning God’s Call

-“Having determined our destiny ahead of time, he called us to himself and transferred his perfect righteousness to everyone he called. And those who possess his perfect righteousness he co-glorified with his Son!”_

God's call is an invitation to fulfill the purpose He has foreordained for you. While He may speak to you audibly, His call can also be discerned through some of the following ways.

1. Inner convictions and passions

He puts an impression in your spirit concerning something. For instance, He can just put a burden in you for the lost souls as an invitation for you to go and save the lost.

2. Spiritual gifts and talents

The gifts and talents you've been given are often signposts guiding you toward your God-ordained purpose and destiny.

3. Confirmation through Scripture and prayer

The Holy Scriptures are a compendium of God’s will for you. Love them and you will discover your purpose.

4. Special Love

He puts a special love in you towards something. For instance, you just love singing, giving, taking care of the poor and so on. That love often times signals God’s call and you do not have to suppress it.

PRAYER:

Precious Father, in Jesus mighty name, I know I am the called one of You. Thank You for opening my eyes through Your Word. I will not run helter-skelter searching for Your call. I now know what you have called me to do and I will passionately pursue it. Amen.
