I am filled with tears of joy and immense pride as I look back at the journey of our graduating class of the 2025/2026 academic year.

The little learners we welcomed into our school at just 1–2 years old are no longer so little. Today, they stand before us as confident five-year-olds, ready to take their next step into primary school. Watching their growth, development, and transformation has been one of the greatest joys of our journey as a school.

Looking at our graduates, I am confident that they are well prepared for Standard One. They can read simple sentences, recognize numbers, and have developed the foundational skills, confidence, and independence needed to continue succeeding in their education. This achievement is a reflection of the strong foundation that has been built during their early years with us.

I would like to sincerely thank our dedicated teachers for the tremendous work they have done in nurturing, guiding, and supporting our learners. Your passion, patience, and commitment have shaped these young minds and made this milestone possible.

My heartfelt appreciation also goes to our School Committee for your continued support and guidance in helping us create a better learning environment for our children.

To our amazing parents and guardians, thank you for trusting us with your children and for being such important partners in their learning journey. Your support and cooperation have made our work easier and have contributed greatly to the success of our learners.

A strong foundation is the key to building a brighter future for our children. The lessons, values, and skills developed during these early years will continue to guide them throughout their educational journey.

St Charles and Clare Private Schools, an Early Learning and Development Centre located in Mzimba District, recently celebrated an exciting Career Day aimed at inspiring young learners to dream big and explore different professions from an early age.

As part of the celebrations, learners proudly role-played various careers, including doctors, nurses, pilots, engineers, teachers, lawyers, soldiers, and police officers, among others. Through these activities, children experienced the responsibilities associated with different professions while developing confidence, communication skills, creativity, problem-solving abilities, and a deeper understanding of their community.

We urge parents to invest in quality early childhood education by enrolling their children at the centre. All graduates from the previous year were ranked among the top-performing learners in their respective schools and were able to read and write before joining primary school.

St Charles and Clare Private Schools caters for children aged 1 to 5 years and offers three learning levels: Baby Class, Middle Class, and Upper Class. The school is committed to providing a strong foundation that nurtures every child's intellectual, social, emotional, and creative development.

In collaboration with Hora Media Club, our young learners took part in a tree planting exercise as part of our commitment to environmental stewardship 🌱

Together, we planted 400 pine tree seedlings, contributing to efforts to restore our environment and combat the effects of climate change.

At St. Charles & Clare Early Learning Development Centre, we believe that learning goes beyond the classroom. It is important to nurture responsible citizens from an early age by involving them in meaningful community activities. Through this exercise, our learners not only planted trees, but also planted seeds of responsibility, care, and awareness about the impact of climate change on our communities.

By engaging children in such initiatives, we are building a generation that understands the importance of protecting the environment, taking climate action, and contributing positively to their communities.
