Our vision is to see thriving urban communities where every individual has the opportunity to achieve economic stability and success. By providing access to education, training, and support, we aim to transform lives and create a more equitable society where poverty is no longer a barrier to a fulfilling and prosperous future.

Today, I had the opportunity to visit Mtsiliza, a place situated in the heart of Lilongwe, the capital city of Malawi. It was a humbling experience to meet the children there. The area was characterized by a bleak and depressing environment. It was disheartening to see that despite their best efforts, many of the families there have to go to bed on an empty stomach. The land was eroded, and the houses looked like they were on the brink of collapse. It was apparent that the people there were struggling to escape the cycle of poverty. Unfortunately, early marriages were prevalent in the area, which perpetuated the vicious cycle of poverty. The high rate of children having children was a clear indication of the magnitude of the poverty issue.

While I was there, I took some pictures with the children while they were playing. Their faces lit up with joy at seeing themselves in photographs. They were thrilled to have their pictures taken.

However, the question that lingered in my mind was, "Why are we so poor?" It was a question that seemed to have no answer.

To end all forms of poverty is not just about people's income but also their access to things like water,health,education, housing and security because everyone above extreme poverty is only the first step( to.view that income and wealth are not ends in themselves but instruments for other purposes goes back at least as far as aristotle. Amartya sen, the 1998 Nobel laureate in economics, argues that the "CAPABILITY TO FUNCTION" is what really matters for a status as a poor or nonpoor person.
In effect, sen argues that poverty cannot be properly measured by income or even by utility as conventionally understood; what matters fundamentally is not the things a person has or the feelings these provide- but WHAT A PERSON IS,or CAN BE, and DOES, or CAN DO.

On the other hand we need to revisit our education systems. Our system only equips us with facts and figures not self reliance. Education that drives us away from being creative in this century..This century needs us to be more creative so that we can fight several problems at once(poverty and unemployment rate). We all need education that can teaches the entire generation on how to.invest time and effort in projects that will bring sustainability in our lives. Education that includes all entrepreneurial skills coz others are learned while others are born with these skills. This can help the entire generation to be educational wizards(of not being used as a tool by others for their own ends.

There are 122 women aged 25 to 34 living in poverty for every 100 men of the same age group,and more 5 million children are at the of continuing to live in extreme poverty
To end this progress we need to empower women.
In light of the information presented so far , it should come as no surprise that development scholars generally view women as playing the central role in the poverty and development drama. Globally women tend to be poorer than men. They are also more deprived in health and education and in freedoms in all its forms.Moreover, women have primary responsibility for child rearing, and the resources that they are able to bring to the task will determine whether the cycle of transmission of poverty from generation to generation will be broken. Children need better health and education, and studies from around the developing world confirm that mothers tend to spend a significantly higher fraction of income under their control for the benefit of their children than their father's do. Women also transmit values to the next generation. To make the biggest impact on development then, a society must empower and invest in its women..this is what I call THE CENTRAL ROLE OF WOMEN IN POVERTY ERADICATION
