The Catholic Education Commission extends its heartfelt congratulations to Portia Mbewe, Head Girl and a Form 3 student at St. Mary's Secondary School, Zomba, on her selection to participate in the 2026 World Spelling Bee Championships in Shanghai, China.

St. Chavara Girls Spread Hope Through Community Outreach

Students from St. Chavara Girls Secondary School, accompanied by their Headteacher, Sister Shalom,
and other staff members, recently visited Mponela Government Hospital and elderly people in Chikuliti-2 Village as part of a community outreach initiative.

During the visit, the students donated food items to patients at the hospital and elderly members of the community.

They also spent time interacting with them through warm conversations, words of encouragement, and prayers.

The outreach brought comfort, hope, and joy to those they visited while giving the students a meaningful opportunity to put compassion, kindness, and the spirit of service into action.
