📚 Strengthening Leadership for Better School Management

At COOM Academy, we believe that quality education begins with strong, informed and accountable school leadership.

On 7 September 2026, COOM Academy participated in the School Leadership Professional Development (SLPD) Module 3 Year 1 training on “Budgeting for a School Year.” The training focused on strengthening practical skills in school budgeting, financial planning, monitoring, forecasting and evaluation.

The session provided valuable practical learning on developing school budgets, comparing budgeted and actual figures, identifying financial challenges, and planning effectively for future school needs.

At COOM Academy, we recognize that a school budget is more than a financial document—it is a management tool that helps translate our priorities and development plans into action.

We remain committed to continuous professional development, responsible resource management, accountability and inclusive education as we work towards better learning experiences and brighter futures for every learner.

As the first and only primary school from Dowa District to participate in the Code Club Conference where our young innovators proudly presented their Scratch program to the audience of schools and computer clubs from across the region. Our learners showcased confidently their innovative projects before Honourable Minister of Information and Digital Economy, Shadreck Namalomba, as Guest of Honour, who earned them a well-deserved Certificate of Achievement. This is proof that excellence knows no boundaries.
