The Department of Journalism and Media Studies (JMS) is domiciled in the Faculty of Education and Media Studies at the Malawi University of Business and Applied Sciences Malawi's nascent democracy needs a modern professionalized media, which is ready to participate in democracy by offering citizens free and informed opinions which can be used to arrive at informed opinion.
