Socio Economic Environment Development Association (SEEDA) is a non-governmental organization involved in national volunteer work, organize & run volunteer programs, incorporated in December 31st 2004. SEEDA was founded by Maldivian from across the Nation who were inspired by the 2004 Tsunami, drug riots, violated human rights & adverse effects of climate change.

SEEDA is a non-profit organization that strongly believes in an equal opportunity for all and aiming to build confidence, raise self-esteem and empower the community to participate fully in their own affair and decision making to facilitate community based projects and aims to exploit human resources available in the society. It brings together the local community with their expertise and experience and the development agencies with their resource to confront ignorance, environmental degradation and the resultant backwardness.

SEEDA depend on time given freely, voluntary effort, on subscriptions, donations and fund raising. We welcome the support of the steadfast and the wise that can best advice and be active.
