We recently had the privilege of hosting Mr Choonee, seasoned architect with 8 years of industry experience, for an insightful guest lecture on the impact of new technologies and continuous professional development in the industry.

Having worked with several established firms and projects in Mauritius, his past experience includes work with A. Macbeth Architects, Urbanscape Ltd, and MT Space Studio, as well as contributions to projects such as hotels, villas, social housing units, masterplanning, factories, warehousing, and beachfront apartments.

The topic of the guest lecture focused on Building Information Modelling (BIM) and how it is transforming the construction industry in Mauritius. The session also highlighted why future construction professionals must keep up with continuous professional development (CPDs) and emerging technologies in the built environment.
