This Diwali, let's be kind and compassionate towards animals and towards the environment. Let's not spend our money on firecrackers but instead let's light up our homes with beautiful diyas and energy efficient LED bulbs, enjoy homemade sweets and maybe even consider a vegetarian or vegan diet for 2016!
Shubh Deepawali to all of our volunteers, our supporters and to all animal lovers!

At ELI, we empower young students to use science and technology for the greater good. Our volunteer, Yuvish Chintaram, in the ELI STEM project used only a plastic bottle, water and sodium hypochlorite to provide an ecologically sustainable and cost free source of electricity in his neighbor, Mr Preetam Sujeeun's store, who will be saving approximately Rs 900 in electricity bills monthly! Follow the liter of light project on our page ELI STEM - Science & Technology to Empower Mauritius to see how we plan on using simple concepts of science to make Mauritius a better place.
