Turn cultural heritage into a living classroom. How can stories, places, and traditions become powerful tools for learning, creativity, and identity-building? Join us in Malta for an inspiring ERASMUS+ KA1 training course for educators:
"Cultural Heritage Education – From Tradition to Creative Practice"
Engaging learners through stories, spaces, and innovative approaches to cultural heritage
This immersive course invites educators to explore how tangible and intangible cultural heritage can be transformed into meaningful learning experiences across adult education, VET, schools, and community learning.
You will learn by doing - not by sitting in lectures. Through field exploration, creative practice, and reflective dialogue, you will design heritage-based learning activities that connect tradition with contemporary life.
What makes this course special?
- Learn heritage interpretation, storytelling, and project-based learning methods
- Explore how crafts, VET, and lifelong learning preserve and innovate traditional skills
- Use digital tools for mapping, documentation, and creative expression
- Foster learners’ identity, belonging, and cultural awareness
- Develop your own heritage-based mini-project ready for real-world use
Learning takes place in inspiring locations across Malta, including:
Valletta, Mdina, St Paul’s Bay, Mosta, Ta’ Qali Crafts Village, Spazju Kreattiv, MCAST, and the Ħaġar Qim temples - with meetings with local educators and craftspeople.
Who is it for?
Teachers, VET trainers, adult educators, youth workers, and facilitators who want to integrate outdoor, workplace, and community-based learning environments into their practice.
