June marked another inspiring Erasmus+ week has come to an end in Malta! 🇲🇹 We had the pleasure of welcoming educators and learning professionals from Austria, Estonia, Greece, Ireland, Portugal, Romania and Spain. The group brought together primary and vocational teachers, librarians, adult educators, project managers, NGO leaders, trainers, school coordinators and community learning professionals, creating an excellent environment for international exchange and peer learning.

We explored how to use AI meaningfully in learning and training. Participants worked on designing learner-centred activities, writing effective prompts, creating custom AI assistants for their own learners, developing e-learning content, designing authentic assessments, supporting reflection and feedback, and integrating AI into every stage of the learning process. We also discussed ethical AI, the EU AI Act, critical thinking, and practical strategies for implementing AI responsibly in schools, libraries, NGOs and adult education.

Each participant finished the course with their own AI & Methods Toolbox—a practical collection of methods, activities and resources ready to be used back home in classrooms, training rooms and projects.

Learning continued well beyond the classroom. Together we discovered the history of Valletta during a guided walking tour, completed an AI-supported outdoor learning challenge in the medieval city of Mdina, enjoyed a picnic while exchanging ideas, and experienced Maltese culture during an unforgettable folklore evening with traditional food, music and dancing.

Thank you to every participant for your curiosity, openness and willingness to experiment. Your ideas, discussions and collaboration made this an exceptional week.

See you again in Malta! Next time in October 🇲🇹🇪🇺 https://www.projectedu.eu/home

VET teachers, museum educators, and art, history and crafts teachers and trainers – looking for inspiring ways to connect skills training with culture, creativity and real-life learning environments?

This March in Malta, our Erasmus+ KA1 training course “Cultural Heritage Education – From Tradition to Creative Practice” offers a unique opportunity to explore how heritage can strengthen vocational learning and learner engagement.

During the course, participants will visit key institutions such as MCAST – Malta College of Arts, Science and Technology and the Lifelong Learning Centre, alongside museums, craft villages and historical heritage sites across Malta. These visits provide first-hand insight into how heritage skills are preserved, taught and innovatively integrated into vocational and professional training.

The course combines field exploration, storytelling, creative methods, project-based learning and digital tools to help educators design meaningful learning experiences that connect tradition with contemporary skills development.

Participants will:
• Explore how VET and craft education preserve and transfer traditional skills
• Learn heritage interpretation and storytelling methods for vocational and cultural learning
• Discover how cultural environments can become living classrooms
• Use digital tools for documentation and creative expression
• Design their own heritage-based learning mini-project

On Sunday, two truly inspiring courses came to an end at EDU Project: Artificial Intelligence (AI) Tools for Meaningful Learning and Training and Non-Formal Learning Methods for Digital and Hybrid Environments.

These courses offered a shared space to explore not only contemporary AI tools, but - more importantly - how to apply them meaningfully in learning and training contexts. The real innovation lies not in the technologies themselves, but in the pedagogical choices, learning design, and reflective practice that guide their use.

One of the greatest strengths of these courses was the group itself. The size and diversity of participants were both an advantage and a challenge. Teachers, education managers, adult educators, and trainers from non-formal, liberal, and creative learning fields came together from across Europe. Despite their different backgrounds and contexts, all participants set personal learning goals and worked purposefully towards them throughout the week.

For us as course providers and trainers, this has been an exciting and discovery-filled journey together with the learners. We are deeply grateful for the openness, curiosity, critical thinking, and trust shown during these days.

We wish all participants confidence and courage to keep experimenting, to press the button, to test, to make mistakes, and to continue learning and growing in this ever-evolving field. Learning with AI is not a destination - it is an ongoing process.

Thank you for being part of this journey.
