Today, our little learners enjoyed a fun Grab the Dolphin activity! Using a net, the children searched through the sea-themed tuff tray, grabbed the dolphins and placed them into the colourful boats. 🕸️🚤

This activity supported their hand-eye coordination, concentration, fine motor skills and recognition, while encouraging learning through play. 💙✨

🐢🎨 Today’s activity was “Paint the Turtle’s Back”! The children enjoyed using sponges to paint the turtle’s shell, happily dabbing and stamping the paint onto the turtle. 🐠🌊 Carve Me – Under the Sea Clay Exploration! 🐙🦀

Today, our little learners enjoyed a hands-on “Carve Me” activity inspired by our under-the-sea theme! 🌊✨

The children used different sea-animal shapes to press, carve and create impressions in the clay dough, discovering how different amounts of pressure and movement produced different marks and patterns. 🐠🐙🦀

Through this sensory experience, the children strengthened their fine-motor control, hand and finger muscles, hand-eye coordination and bilateral coordination - all important foundations for future skills such as drawing, writing and using everyday tools. ✋🎨

The activity also encouraged cause-and-effect learning, problem-solving, spatial awareness and concentration, as the children experimented with positioning, pressing and removing the shapes to discover the impressions they created. 🧠✨

While exploring the different sea creatures, we also supported language development and early scientific thinking by encouraging the children to recognise, name and compare the animals, their shapes and the marks they made. 🐬🐠💙

🐬🫧 Dolphin Stencil & Bubble Paper Transfer Activity 🎨🌊

Our little learners explored the wonders of the ocean through a creative dolphin stencil and bubble paper transfer activity! 🐬💙

As the children pressed, positioned and transferred the different materials, they strengthened their fine motor control, hand-eye coordination and bilateral coordination, important skills that support future writing, dressing and other everyday tasks. ✋🎨

The activity also encouraged children to experiment with cause and effect, recognise colours and patterns, explore different textures, make independent choices and develop their concentration and problem-solving skills. 🫧✨

Through conversations about dolphins and the ocean, we also supported language development and environmental awareness, encouraging children to express what they could see, feel and create. 🐬🌊

A simple creative experience with so many opportunities for learning, exploration and development through play! 💙✨

🌯🥪 Today’s Activity – Wrap Lunch! 🥪🌯

Today, the children had lots of fun making their own wraps with the help and guidance of the educator. They were encouraged to choose and add their own ingredients, such as cheese and ham, and enjoyed watching their wraps come together. The children showed excitement and independence while preparing their lunch and were happy to taste the wraps they made themselves. 😋💛

✨ This activity encouraged independence and self-help skills, while also developing fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination as the children handled and placed the ingredients. It supported decision-making and confidence, encouraged language development as they named the different ingredients, and introduced children to the idea of healthy food choices and food preparation. 🌟🧀🥓

🐴🌻 Our Sunflower Pony Club Experience 🌻🐴

Today our little ones enjoyed a wonderful experience at Sunflower Pony Club! 💛

The children had the opportunity to meet the horses, gently groom and care for them, and even enjoy a lovely horse-riding experience. 🐴✨

It was a beautiful hands-on activity that encouraged the children to build confidence, kindness and respect for animals, while experiencing something new and exciting outside the childcare environment. 🌿🥰

A morning full of smiles, new experiences and special memories!🌻🐴💛
