As part of the SINARG 2025 International conference (https://sinarg.org/program), a face-to-face meeting of representatives of national and international projects was organized at the Science and Technology Park Nis, Serbia, on 12 September 2025. The meeting gathered 20 participants and provided a platform for exchanging experiences and project outcomes. On this occasion, Prof. Dr. Vuk Milošević presented the results of the WATERLINE project.

We are pleased to announce that at the International Scientific Conference SINARG 2025 (September 11, 2025), the paper was presented:

“TOWARDS A SMART CITY: A SMART DAM INITIATIVE IN NIŠ”
Authors: Aleksandra Ilić, Aleksandar Đorđević, Anđela Đorđević, Ljiljana Jevremović, Milan Gocić

This contribution represents a result of the WATERLINE project, inspired by entrepreneurship lectures in which the authors actively participated. The idea was further developed into a scientific paper and presented at an international academic forum.

The paper emphasizes the role of entrepreneurship, innovation, and sustainability in fostering smart city initiatives, with a focus on the Smart Dam concept in Niš. Moreover, it highlights the importance of water as a strategic resource and the application of digital solutions in water management and smart urban development, contributing to the vision of Niš as a future-oriented smart city. 🌍💧

We are pleased to announce the publication of a joint research article authored by teams from the University of Niš (UNI) and the Malta College of Arts, Science & Technology (MCAST), as part of the ongoing cooperation within the WATERLINE project.
The paper analyses the importance of investment in education across widening WATERLINE countries, emphasizing the role of digital innovation, particularly virtual reality (VR), in enhancing water-related knowledge and contributing to sustainable economic development.
