Today we remember and honour an extraordinary person!

For five years, Lesley was our cleaning lady at Magic Wonders, but she was so much more than that. She became part of our family. We all loved her, and the children adored her, always calling her Ms Lesley. We shared so many moments together, laughter, tears, and memories we will always cherish. Lesley had such a kind spirit and a heart of gold. During the COVID pandemic, thanks to her dedication and hard work, we never had a single COVID case, something we will always be grateful for.

Lesley passed away recently, and we truly believe that her suffering is now at rest. Our thoughts and prayers are with her family during this difficult time.

Thank you, Lesley, for being you and for being such an incredible part of Magic Wonders. You will always hold a special place in our hearts.

🧩🍯💖 Jar Kindness & Unity: Ms Lorraine’s Lessons in Belonging🧩🍯💖

Ms Lorraine introduced two engaging learning experiences focusing on community and acceptance for Anti-Bullying Week. Reinforcing the message of inclusion; the children intently worked with the puzzle pieces, fitting them together, to visually demonstrate that every single person, regardless of their differences, is essential to making the whole group complete. The Kindness Jar allowed them to better understand that true belonging comes from accepting every unique piece.

🍩🎈🤝 Doughnut Bully & Lift Each Other Up: Practical Lessons in Kindness 🍩🎈🤝

Ms Kelly concluded our Anti-Bullying focus with two powerful hands-on experiences. For 'Lift Each Other Up,' the children actively worked to fill balloons with flour, physically experiencing the process of building someone up with support . This learning experience was a memorable way to demonstrate that when we use positive words and actions, we are literally helping our friends feel stronger and fuller. In the 'Doughnut Bully' session, the children focused their attention on decorating the doughnuts with icing or chocolate and sprinkling colourful decorations. This learning experience reinforced the simple, sweet message that we should always choose to treat others kindly, just like we treat these delicious treats, rather than engaging in bullying behaviour.

🩹 Kindness Over Labels: Patching the Hurt with Ms Kelly 💖

For Anti-Bullying Week, Ms Kelly led a brilliant activity called 'Kindness Over Labels' and 'Patch It With Kindness.' Both learning experiences provided a tangible, physical way for children to grasp the permanent damage caused by labels while simultaneously empowering them with the understanding that they hold the ability to cover that damage with positive action.

🍕🤝Healthy Cooking & Kindness Connections with Ms.Elaine🌯🤝

During the Pizza Wrap Cooking session (for Diabetes Awareness), they actively prepared their wraps by spreading tomato puree, sprinkling cheese, and other ingredients, developing essential life skills and discussing healthy food choices and nutrition. For the Anti-Bullying focus, the Friendship Chain learning experience was wonderfully collaborative; the children eagerly searched the playground to find the positive message cards, before coming together to draw their own friendly pictures and carefully gluing the papers into a long chain, powerfully symbolising how every small act of kindness links us together.
