B’kollaborazzjoni ma’ MyMama u Bank of Valletta, il-Kunsill Lokali Naxxar qed jappoġġja The Parent Space – proġett bla ħlas u bbażat fil-komunità, mibni fuq twemmin sempliċi iżda qawwi: il-ġenituri qatt ma kienu maħsuba li jgħaddu minn dan il-vjaġġ waħedhom.

The Parent Space jiġbor flimkien ommijiet u missirijiet ġodda permezz ta’ laqgħat ta’ kull ġimgħa li jrawmu sens ta’ appartenenza, konnessjoni u appoġġ matul l-ewwel fażijiet tar-responsabbiltà ta’ ġenitur. Is-sessjonijiet jinkludu diskussjonijiet, esperti mistiedna darba fix-xahar, u laqgħat informali – ħafna drabi fil-beraħ, f’ġonna u playgrounds tan-Naxxar, skont it-temp, b’kikkra te sħuna li ma tonqos qatt :)

Din l-inizjattiva tgħin lill-ġenituri biex ma jħossuhomx waħedhom u tfakkarna li verament hemm bżonn ta’ sapport mill-ħafna biex trabbi tifel jew tifla.

We are pleased to be part of an initiative that strengthens our community and supports families in Naxxar.

In collaboration with MyMama and Bank of Valletta, the Naxxar Local Council is supporting The Parent Space – a free, community-based project built around a simple but powerful belief: parenthood was never meant to be done alone.

The Parent Space brings together new mums and dads through weekly meet-ups that foster connection, belonging, and support during the early stages of parenthood. Sessions include facilitated conversations, monthly guest experts, and informal gatherings – often held outdoors in Naxxar’s parks and playgrounds, weather permitting, with a warm cup of tea always waiting :)

This initiative helps parents feel less isolated and reminds us that it truly takes a village to raise a child.

After seeing the devastating damage done by Storm Harry to our coastlines, we couldn’t just sit and hope that someone would clean up the debris that mother nature brought to shore.

That’s why we’re setting up 8 clean-ups in the most affected areas on Malta’s coastlines this Saturday.

ANOTHER SUPPORT SERVICE IN OUR COMMUNITY
As you know, we have been doing our utmost to offer social and emotional support to persons suffering in silence, afraid or too shy to ask for help or perhaps not knowing who to turn to for help. Now we are building on what we have been offering.
On the 13th January from 8am till noon, anyone can drop by our Pastoral Centre to meet up with a Social Worker and Community Worker from the MOSTA COMMUNITY SERVICES of the Agency for Therapeutic Services (ACTS) of FSWS.
Do come and ask them anything - support for yourself or people you know, information, make suggestions, appointment.
