At the Beach 🏖️☀️

Our children enjoyed a variety of hands-on activities that brought the beach to life. From building sandcastles and exploring sand play to imaginative beach adventures, they had the opportunity to create, experiment and play together. 🏖️🪣

These playful experiences encouraged creativity, problem-solving, sensory exploration and social interaction, while creating a calm and enjoyable environment where children could simply have fun and enjoy the feeling of summer. 💛🌊

Spinning Toys & Child Development 🌀

Spinning toys support motor development, hand-eye coordination and visual tracking as children reach, grasp and rotate. They also encourage cause-and-effect learning, concentration and problem-solving through hands-on exploration.

Learning About Fire Safety 🚒

Fire safety is introduced to our children in a simple, age-appropriate and engaging way, using stories, songs, movement, role-play and group discussions.

Through these experiences, children begin to recognise the fire alarm, listen to their educators and understand that when we hear the alarm, we stay calm and follow our educators to a safe place. 🔥➡️🚪

These familiar experiences help children feel more confident and secure should an evacuation ever be necessary.

As part of our safety procedures, fire drills are carried out every three months within our setting, with scheduled dates communicated to parents through the centre calendar.

**A Little Taste of Holiday Season! 🍋🌺🌴**

With the summer holiday season in full swing, we brought a little holiday feeling to the children this week! ☀️🏖️

Our Lemonade & Tropical Fun Day was all about **real, hands-on experiences**. The children got involved, explored, squeezed, poured, mixed and tasted as they discovered the refreshing world of lemons and tropical fruits. 🍋🍊🥭

From preparing their own refreshing drinks to exploring different colours, smells, textures and flavours, every little hand had a part to play! 💛

Because at Active Learning, we believe children learn best when they can **touch it, try it, experience it and have fun doing it!** 🌱

Good vibes, great company, and unforgettable memories!

Our Summer Party was a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the amazing people who make Active Learning Childcare Centre so special. Filled with laughter, great food, and fantastic company, it was an evening to remember.

🩺👩‍⚕️ STEAM Activity: real life experience with Dr. Carol Cardona

Dr. Cardona spoke to the children about the human body and sang "Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes" with them. She also introduced them to real medical tools, including a stethoscope, and each child had the opportunity to listen to their own heartbeat.

The children then enjoyed pretending to be doctors with Buddy the Bear. They explored different medical tools, learned how they are used to help people, and practised caring for their "patients" by applying bandages.
