Last week, we took part in the R&I Expo โ Research and Innovation, where we proudly presented our project, RockSense, at our stand. It was a fantastic experience, especially introducing many children to the world of engineering and showing them what itโs all about! ๐ทโโ๏ธโ๏ธ๐ฌ
After engaging with young visitors, we continued to share and discuss our project with conference attendees, building valuable connections and spreading our vision further.
โจ A special thank you to Xjenza Malta, the conference organisers, for making this event possible and providing us with a platform to showcase our work.
More to come as we continue this journey! ๐

โจLast Friday at Science in the City, Malta, we explored this yearโs theme, Past Forward โ reflecting on how history shapes todayโs innovations.
At our stand, we showcased our research project RockSense, which develops electronic instruments to find solutions for geotechnical problems. ๐ชจ๐ก Visitors had the chance to learn about our work, ask questions, and try hands-on activities designed to introduce kids to geology and ๐ท engineering.
It was a fantastic opportunity to connect with the ๐ช public, share our research, and engage kids with interactive games that connected geology, engineering, and future innovation.
๐Thanks to everyone who stopped by. See you next time!

Our team has just returned from the International Symposium on Geotechnical Safety and Risk in Oslo, Norway, an inspiring week filled with learning, discussions, and connections.
We explored the latest methods in geotechnical safety and risk management, shared perspectives on applying these approaches in practice, and had the chance to meet and exchange ideas with colleagues from around the world ๐ช๐.
A big thank you to the hosts, โ Norwegian Geotechnical Institute, for the excellent organisation and warm hospitality.
Also thank you to AS for the insightful tour at the plant.
