Sometimes we have moments like this in class… and honestly, life can never prepare you for them 😭And every single time — it hits hard.
The funniest part is that after 15 minutes of actually trying it, kids usually end up enjoying the process, feeling proud of themselves, and sometimes even discovering a completely new favourite type of art.
But convincing them to try in the first place? That takes a LOT of energy 😅
My students usually consider me a kind teacher — some even say the kindest 🥹 But if I want them to truly grow as artists, I need to give them different types of projects and challenges.
Some techniques look difficult at first, and whenever kids see something complicated, they may immediately start protesting 😭 But I always explain to them that growth comes from trying new things and exploring unfamiliar techniques.
Because they will never know if they like something or not until they actually try it.And if they don’t like it — at least now they know.
But most of the time… it’s worth it ✨
And no, we cannot draw cats and capybaras 10 times in a row.Even if I love them too 😭

A little corner of creativity at the Regional Book Fair 📚✨
So many hands, ideas, and tiny stories turned into bookmarks.
Thank you to everyone who stopped by and created with us 💛
What a day at the Regional Book Fair 📚✨
We created a small open art space where everyone could make their own bookmarks — using collage, drawing, and pure imagination.
It was busy, loud, a little chaotic… and absolutely amazing 😄
Kids and adults joined in, explored all the materials, and created so many unique and beautiful pieces.
Honestly, I couldn’t have imagined a better outcome — the table was full the entire time, and the creativity was just non-stop.
Thank you to everyone who came, created, and shared this experience with us 💛
I feel so happy to live in a world where we have so many opportunities to experiment with different materials.
For a long time, I was looking for safe and comfortable scissors for the youngest kids — because cutting is such an important skill, not only in art, but in everyday life too.
I’ve noticed that some children really want to try cutting, but feel a bit scared because the process can be quite challenging at the beginning.
And I truly believe that with the right tools, like these safety scissors, kids can start from a very young age — gently building their confidence and practicing their skills step by step.
Because every small skill matters ✨
I asked my kids to draw their favourite cats from modern memes 😄🐱
And this is what we got.
Honestly, I truly believe that memes are a form of modern pop art — a reflection of our time, our humour, and the way we see the world today.
And for me, they are an important part of artistic development too.
Because if you take fun out of art…
there’s not much left.
Workshop day — from my eyes ✨
It always starts quietly.
Preparing the space, the materials, every small detail.
This part is almost invisible… but it means everything.
Then people arrive — and the space comes alive.
We talk, we paint, we laugh.
I guide them gently, but I always let them create in their own way.
This time was very special 🤍
A baby shower.
We painted ornaments and wrote little messages for the baby’s future.
Words she will read one day, when she grows up.
And this is my favorite part —
creating not just art, but memories.
Thank you for trusting me with moments like this ✨

It has been 2 years since I started calling what I do Malta Art Event, and at the same time, this year marks my 12th year of teaching art. Two years of a name and a studio — and twelve years of sharing creativity and love for art.
When I first arrived in Malta, everything felt new, foreign, and uncertain. I didn’t know where I would find myself, who I would meet, or what place I could take here.
And somehow, through my studio, I found my place. A place where I feel comfortable and truly myself. A place that brought into my life some of the best people in the world 🤍
Over these two years, we’ve met so many wonderful people, sparked the love for painting, helped many discover their talent, grow more confident, and try something new. I’m deeply grateful for every single one of you.
Behind the name Malta Art Event there is just one person — me. This studio is not just a project or a brand. It’s a living human story. The only person I have by my side is my dear husband who’s always helping me with everything I’m doing 🥰
After a very intense year, I’m choosing to slow down a little and give myself time to rest and recover. We’ll keep creating — just in a calmer and more mindful rhythm.
Thank you for being here and staying with me 🤍
Very soon I’ll share what’s next ✨
