KG1.3/4 - Together, we planted basil seeds and cared for them every day until they were ready to harvest. Once the basil had grown, the children brainstormed ideas and after researching on the internet they decided to make bruschetta using their freshly grown basil. They drew the bruschetta and wrote the word letter by letter to reinforce letter-sound recognition, understand that letters form words, and strengthen wrist control. The children were actively involved throughout this opportunity, from preparing the ingredients to cutting, mixing, and spreading. This hands-on experience supported their learning, critical thinking, and autonomy.Let's Talk Farming Programme Agrikoltura
