It took a while to remove 3 meter long kitchen island, find a used oak table, refurbish it, sand and revarnish all chair legs..
but now that the space has started to feel like home, I can say it was all worth it!

Originally meant to serve as a recycling bin (peek the colour), it now adorns our bedroom as a hamper.

Note to self: purpose is not limited by form

As I glance at the finished bookshelf, I think to myself that perhaps, it has always stood here. At the same time, I cannot help but smile, knowing that such a dear project has come to an end; afterall, this time, my vision for the project, from the shelf itself, to the colour, to the consistency, remained concrete in my mind from its very beginning to the finish line

after a long time away, the heater finally hums, and the saw rhythmically drums once again

Initial intention was to mask the pipe that goes through between the bed and the wall. So, to fulfill these purposes, together with the clients we designed this African walnut shelf. Once the scrapwood draft was finished, the building of the shelf began.

Admiring the fruits of our labour now, the sawdust and the long hours in the workshop fade into oblivion. The long negotiations with the uneven walls do too. I simply sit there rejoicing in the colourful pages of the magazine. Knowing that the clients feel similarly, however, makes my joy double!
