Valerie Brincat was nominated by Heidi Camilleri for Outstanding Woman 2016.

Her name is Valerie Brincat, she has been my friend for over 20 years. She is a mother of 3 beautiful children who are all on the autism spectrum. Despite her busy schedule she is also public relations for the autism parents association and works tirelessly to bring awareness to society through tv appearances, talks and meetings. Her number is available to everyone who needs advice and even just reassurance. She has vast knowledge of the autism spectrum and always helps parents especially ones who are new to the challenges autism brings with it. She is a positive person who always looks for a solution instead of wallowing in the problem. She had also developed "twiggle land" which is a set of flashcards specifically designed to help children understand and communicate more through visuals. She is an inspiration to me and everyone who meets her. I often jokingly ask her if she ever sleeps. She also orgnaises reading groups for children and is now working on a new exiting project to further help people who have special needs to continue to live independently. This is still in the initial stages, she never stops. She is definitely an Outstanding Woman.

Had a wonderful opportunity to meet another mompreneur Christine Attard. Author of "Life Rhymes for Young Minds", a booklet of poems associated with life situations, all explained through poetry for children.

TwiggleLand again has been discussed on program "Dak li Jghodd" where the benefits of these resources have been discussed and shared with the Maltese public.

A great Christmas gift for the little ones. Learning activities that they will definitely enjoy!
