☀️ Another busy and exciting day at Summer School! ☀️

Our children have been busy from start to finish, learning through play, creativity and lots of hands-on experiences! 🌈✨

We started our morning with circle time, followed by a fun Number 9 craft 🔢🎨. We then enjoyed some wonderful storytelling, before getting creative with construction playdough 🧱 and experimenting with construction oobleck! 👷‍♀️👷‍♂️

From numbers and stories to building, exploring and sensory play, every activity gave our children a chance to learn, discover and have fun together. 💛

What a wonderful, busy day of learning and exploration! 🌟☀️

⭐ Learning to match is the beginning of making connections, recognising patterns, and understanding the world around us. 🌎✨

The matching activities helped children develop important cognitive, visual discrimination, concentration, and early problem-solving skills 🧠👀.

For the 2–3-year-olds, the animal and home matching activity 🐶🏠 encouraged children to recognise different animals and connect them to their appropriate homes, supporting their memory, logical thinking, categorisation, and understanding of relationships.

For the 1–2-year-olds, the afternoon stars and planets matching activity ⭐🪐 provided a fun and age-appropriate way to practise visual recognition, attention, memory, and hand-eye coordination.

Although the activities were different for each age group, both encouraged children to observe carefully, identify similarities and differences, and make meaningful connections, building a strong foundation for early cognitive and problem-solving skills 🌟🧩.

🐰 Movement is the first step towards independence, confidence, and healthy development.🌱✨

The physical activities provided opportunities for children to develop and strengthen their gross motor skills, balance, coordination, strength, and body awareness 💪🤸‍♀️. For the babies, outdoor tummy time ☀️👶 encouraged them to lift and control their heads, strengthen their neck, shoulder, arm, and core muscles, and practise movements needed for future milestones such as rolling, crawling, and sitting. The stretching monkey activity 🐒🙆‍♀️ encouraged babies to explore different body movements and positions while developing flexibility and body awareness. For the 2–3-year-olds, bunny hopping and feeding the rabbit 🐰🥕 combined movement with a fun, purposeful task, helping children practise balance, coordination, leg strength, jumping, and spatial awareness. By connecting movement with imaginative play, the activities encouraged children to become more confident in using their bodies, while also developing independence, control, and enjoyment of physical activity 🌈💗.

🌱 Every moment of play is an opportunity to learn, explore, and grow. ✨

These two activities supported the development of a range of fine motor, cognitive, sensory, and social skills 🧠🤲. In the first activity, the child used clothespins and animal shapes 🦁🦋, which strengthened hand and finger muscles, improved hand-eye coordination, concentration, and fine motor skills, while also encouraging problem-solving 🧩.

The second activity involved creating an arctic-themed sensory scene ❄️🐧 using sugar cubes and small animal figures, allowing the children to explore different textures and develop sensory awareness, creativity, imagination, and spatial awareness 🎨👀.

Together, both activities encouraged the children to use their hands purposefully, follow instructions, concentrate, and explore through play 🌟. They also promoted independence, coordination, problem-solving, creativity, and confidence, making learning fun and meaningful 💕🌈.

🐾👻 Scooby-Doo Preparations! 🐶💛

Today, our activities were all related to Scooby-Doo! 🎉 In the baby room, the little ones enjoyed exploring a fun monster sensory bag 👶🖐️👻, encouraging sensory exploration and curiosity. From 1 to 2, the children had a Scooby-Doo-themed feeding activity 🍽️🐶, making mealtime fun and engaging. From 2 to 3, the children enjoyed Scooby-Doo threading 🧵🐾, helping to develop their fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, and concentration. It was a fun and exciting Scooby-Doo-filled day! 💚🐶🎉

Throughout the day, the children had lots of fun exploring, learning, and taking part in our Scooby-Doo-themed activities. 💚🐶

We are getting more and more excited for our Scooby-Doo preparations and can’t wait for all the fun adventures ahead! 🐾🎬👻✨

☀️🌈 Another fun and exciting day at our Summer School! 🌈☀️

Our learners had another busy day filled with fun, creativity, imagination and lots of hands-on learning! 💕 We started our morning with circle time, giving everyone the chance to come together, chat, listen and get ready for the exciting activities ahead. 🥰

🪟 Cleaning the windows – the children loved getting busy and helping to make the windows sparkle! ✨

🚒 Firefighter role play – lots of imaginative play, teamwork and heroic adventures as our little firefighters came to the rescue! 👩‍🚒👨‍🚒🔥

🧺 Tuff tray exploration – hands-on sensory play encouraging curiosity, creativity and discovery.

🔤 Letter practice using cereal – making learning fun as the children practised their letters while developing fine motor skills and concentration. 🥣

🐸 Basic Skills – Frog Counting – the children had fun counting the frogs while developing their early number recognition, counting skills and one-to-one correspondence. 🔢🐸

Every activity provided an opportunity to learn through play, develop new skills, build confidence and enjoy being creative! 🌟

Today our little learners had lots of fun exploring colours and numbers through hands-on play! 🥰✨

🚀🌈 1–2 Years – Colour Sorting Rocket!
Our little astronauts blasted off into learning with a fun colour-sorting rocket activity! 🚀👩‍🚀👨‍🚀 They carefully placed the coloured pom-poms into the matching sections, developing their colour recognition, hand-eye coordination, fine motor skills, and concentration. 🟢🔴🟡🟣🖐️

🐸🎲 2–3 Years – Counting Jumping Frogs!
Our little learners became frog counters! 🐸💚 They rolled the dice, counted the number of dots, and then placed the correct number of frogs onto the lily pad. 🎲🌿 This exciting activity encouraged number recognition, counting, one-to-one correspondence, and early mathematical thinking. 🔢🧠✨

Today our little ones had fun developing their matching skills through playful, hands-on activities! 👀🧠✨

Matching helps children develop important early cognitive skills as they learn to notice similarities and differences in colours, shapes, pictures, objects, and patterns. 🎨🔺🐾

Through these fun activities, children are also strengthening their concentration, memory, visual discrimination, problem-solving, and language skills. 💭💪💛

Most importantly, they are learning while having fun, building confidence with every successful match! 🌟🥰

👶🌲 Baby Class – Woodland Wonder
Our little ones will discover the magic of the woodland through sensory experiences, natural materials, textures, sounds, and lots of hands-on exploration. 🍃🦉🐿️✨

🧒🐾 1–2 Years – Learning Through Animal Play
Our toddlers will learn through playful experiences inspired by animals — exploring movement, sounds, stories, creative activities, and lots of opportunities for imaginative play! 🐶🐱🦁🎨

👧🌍 2–3 Years – Animal Homes Around the World
Our older toddlers will embark on an exciting journey around the world, discovering where different animals live and learning about their unique homes and habitats. 🐧❄️🦒🌴🐠🌊
