Earlier this week we had our last Sports Day for this scholastic year. It was the turn of Year 5 and Year 6 students to enjoy some challenging races, lovingly prepared by Ms Alexia! Parents, students and staff alike enjoyed this lovely, active morning!

🍦🧪 **Year 2 – Ms Jessica’s Class** 🧪🍦
The children in Ms Jessica’s Year 2 class recently made their own ice cream as part of their Science lesson on **solids, liquids, and gases**. 🌡️✨
Through this fun and hands-on activity, the students explored how different states of matter can change while learning excitingly and memorably. 🥛❄️💨
The lesson was both educational and delicious, and the children thoroughly enjoyed seeing Science come to life through practical learning! 👏😊

🌱🍅 **Benjamin Refalo – KG1** 🍅🌱
Benjamin spent some time at home sowing tomato, courgette, and carrot seeds in pots. 🥕🪴✨
He has been carefully watering and taking care of the plants while excitedly watching them grow day by day. 💧🌿 Benjamin is especially looking forward to harvesting his very first courgette! 🥒😊
What a wonderful hands-on learning experience that encourages patience, responsibility, and a love for nature. 👏🌍💚

🧲✨ **Year 5 – Ms Marisianne’s Class** ✨🧲
Our Year 5 students recently carried out an exciting Science investigation about **magnetism**. 🔬⚡
During the activity, the children experimented with magnets to make a paperclip “dance” and even appear to stand in the air! 📎✨ Through this hands-on investigation, students explored the forces created by magnets and learnt more about how magnetic attraction works.
The activity sparked curiosity, encouraged scientific thinking, and made learning both fun and memorable. 👏😊

The current class theme in Year 2 is **Space**, and the students have been enjoying a variety of exciting cross-curricular activities linked mainly to **English** and **Science**. 🌍🪐✨
Through hands-on learning experiences, the children explored different aspects of space while developing their creativity, curiosity, and language skills. 📚🔭

🌱🌍 **Year 6 Educational Visit to Urban Greenz** 🌍🌱
Our Year 6 students recently visited Urban Greenz as part of the **Let’s Talk Farming Programme** and to consolidate their Science learning about plant life. 🌿🔬
During the visit, the students learnt about the importance of regenerative farming practices, including methods that help improve soil health, reduce waste, conserve water, and support biodiversity in a sustainable and environmentally friendly way. 🌎💧♻️ They explored how these practices contribute to healthier crops and a healthier planet for future generations. 🌱✨
The students also had the opportunity to learn about microgreens and their nutritional benefits. They discovered that although microgreens are small in size, they are packed with vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants, making them an excellent source of energy and nourishment for the body. 🥗💚
The session provided a hands-on and engaging learning experience, helping students connect their classroom learning with real-life applications in agriculture, sustainability, and healthy living. 👏😊
