🏆📚 Gold Award for Our School! 📚🏆
We are delighted to announce that our school has been awarded the Gold Award in the Book Champion School 2026 national competition organised by the National Literacy Agency.
This prestigious recognition celebrates the commitment of our school community to promoting literacy, fostering a love of reading, and providing meaningful reading experiences for our students across all year groups.
The award-winning submission, compiled by Ms Roana Grixti, School Librarian and Literacy Teacher, highlighted a wide range of literacy initiatives carried out throughout the year, including weekly library sessions, Book Week activities, Meet the Author events, and book fairs. The submission also showcased the valuable work carried out by Ms Anna Caruana, Complementary Teacher for the Early Years, in nurturing early literacy skills among our youngest learners.
This achievement reflects the collective effort of many members of our school community. We would like to thank all the teachers who shared photographs, activities, and examples of good practice that helped bring together a comprehensive picture of the literacy experiences taking place across the school.
A special word of appreciation also goes to our Kindergarten teachers and Learning Support Educators, who participated in another competition organised by the National Literacy Agency and were awarded a Certificate of Participation.
This award reaffirms our school's commitment to making reading an enjoyable, enriching, and integral part of school life. Thank you to everyone who contributed to this achievement and to the culture of reading that continues to flourish within our school.
📖✨ Together, we are building a community of enthusiastic readers and lifelong learners.
