Physics is all about applying your knowledge into different situations and solving the problem. 💡To obtain a high score, the best way to prepare for a physics exam is PRACTICE. 📝 This may be repetitive but its particularly true for this subject. 💯 Doing past paper questions will not only help you form connections between concepts and formulas, it also presents how your knowledge can be applied into different situations. 📚⁣
Furthermore, while going through the questions, learn to understand them instead of looking through the formula booklet to find something that fits. 🧩 After all, the formula booklet given is just a tool box. 🛠 Your understanding of the question should drive you to choose which formulas are helpful in solving the question. 🎯⁣

It’s exam season and first of all, good luck to everyone having their exams.👍 With this in mind, we’d like to share with you some tips in tackling exams.📚 Questions come in different types, it is important to understand the key words in the prompt, words such as “state, describe, indicate, explain and discuss” should direct your the depth of your responses. For example, state questions would only require short phrases, whereas discuss questions would require weighing both sides of an argument and reaching a conclusion.⚖️⁣
Also, the marks available for each question correlates to the level of detail required.💯 In science subjects🧪, one point would usually be attributed to one talking point or one step in a process. ⁣
More on exam time management⏳, it is important to know how much time to spend on each question. Working out the minutes per mark can help in keeping track, but don’t forget to take double-checking and proofreading time into consideration☑️. Most students would start with questions that they are confident with💪. A recommendation regarding this is that it is fine to have your own sequence, and it is better to attempt questions in their entirety, instead of partially completing questions and jumping back and forth. This way, the overall progress can be better kept on track, and the trail of thought can be better maintained.🧐⁣

Business Study Tips
🌟IEAAM🌟
Business and Management is a course unlike biology, where all you need is memorizing the key terms. This is because in the exam, there are always different new situations and scenarios, and memorizing would not be useful when face new situations. ❓

Instead, a key method of succeeding in this subject is to picture yourself as the manager of a business👨🏼‍🦰

For example, if the question asks for the advantages of outsourcing, try to imagine yourself as the manager. If one day the electricity in your restaurant malfunctions and you need someone to fix it. You have two options: 💡
1. Hire a full time engineer and pay monthly salary of $20,000
2. Pay for a one-time engineer service from another company and pay them the service charge of $2,000.
The second method is outsourcing, where you find external parties to help you with operations that your company is not specialized in. This would result in a huge advantage in the form of a significant cost reduction. 💰

Remember, try to understand, and imagine, rather than memorizing solely. 🧠

🌟IEAAM🌟
Theory of knowledge (TOK) was one of the most fascinating yet difficult subject in IB. ‼️For first hand advice, keep in mind that there are NO CORRECT ANSWERS in TOK. 💡As long as your reasoning behind your answer does not touch upon any logical fallacies, you are free to brainstorm and suggest any ideas that may have come to mind. 💭
Further taking a step beyond, Plato’s allegory of the cave provides insights of how to do so. ⛓Although there are various different interpretations, but one of the main ideas was no one is ever wrong considering their stance and only if their reasoning is logical. 🔗Taking a step further when reasoning, exploring multiple perspectives will definitely help. ⚖️
