Educational Assistant - Advanced Knowledge in Chemistry and Lab Safety Procedures (Mongolian Nationals only)

NATURE OF WORK:
The role of the Educational Assistant is essentially to assist the Teacher in the delivery of the IB program within the classroom. Supporting the activities within and outside the classroom to ensure students are safe, happy learning in a positive and nurturing environment. The scope of this work will be in a primary homeroom class.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS
• Advanced Knowledge in Chemistry and Lab Safety Procedures
• Teaching diploma degree as well as teaching permit is preferred
• At least 1 year of experience in working with children
• Teaching experience
• Fluency in English and in Mongolian
• Able to use computer programs
• Able to work in multicultural environment

Last week, an ISU student, Yerin, ran a Sleep Awareness Week in school with the help of a few other students and teachers. The initiative was an expansion of her personal project which researched sleep biology and created an informative website.
