UWC DAY 2026 | ACTIONS FOR PEACE, PLANET, PEOPLE

Every year on 21 September, the UWC community around the world comes together to celebrate UWC Day — a day to turn UWC values into action.

This year’s theme is:
Actions for Peace, Planet, People.

On this UWC Day, we are pleased to announce a new student-led initiative — the UWC Mongolia Eco Club.

The initiative was started by Erdene Ganbat, a first-year student at UWC Atlantic, and Temuulen Gombosuren, a Mini UWC participant. Both Erdene and Temuulen participated in DILIMUN 2026.

The UWC Mongolia Eco Club aims to bring together UWC Mongolia students, alumni, parents and young people across Mongolia to learn about environmental challenges, share knowledge, and turn ideas into meaningful action.

The Club will be led by young people themselves.

As its first step, UWC students will create short, engaging and evidence-based environmental content for their peers, making important information easier for young people to understand and share.

From there, the Club aims to reach young people in local communities across Mongolia, listen to the environmental challenges they see around them, and support promising youth-led solutions through mentoring and small project grants.

The Club will also encourage UWC Mongolia students and alumni to bring what they learn through their studies, research and international experiences into action — sharing knowledge with young people in Mongolia and collaborating with peers from different countries on environmental projects.

Over time, we hope to build a growing community where young people learn from one another, take responsibility for the environment around them, and turn knowledge into action.

UWC Mongolia National Committee will support the Club as a facilitator — helping young people connect, collaborate and bring their ideas to life.

Our Planet. Our Responsibility. Our Action.

🌱 Happy UWC Day 2026!

Actions for Peace. Actions for Planet. Actions for People.
