" My name is Ven. Vijaya, and everyone calls me King Yord. I studied English at IH Yangon–Mandalay, where I improved my four English skills: speaking, reading, writing and listening. Currently, I am studying General English Level 9 and studying abroad in Thailand. I am a sophomore student at Mahachulalongkornrajavidyalaya University (MCU), Chiang Mai Campus simultaneously.
I chose IH Yangon–Mandalay because I wanted to improve my English and communication skills. Another reason is that the classes focus on all four English skills and include many activities. These activities help me improve my English and communicate with other students more effectively. In addition, the classes do not only teach English but also provide useful teaching techniques that students can use when teaching future generations.
My experience with online classes has been very good. The teachers explain the lessons clearly and support us when we have difficulties. We also have many chances to communicate with other students through Zoom breakout rooms. Even though the classes are online, the learning activities are interesting and supportive. The teachers also manage the classes well and make the class comfortable for students.
My classes at IH Yangon–Mandalay have helped me a lot, especially in building my confidence in speaking and communicating with others. Before I joined these classes, I could not communicate very well in English. However, after studying at IH, I have learned a lot and become more confident in myself. Now, I can speak in public with less nervousness and express my ideas more comfortably. These skills are very useful for my university studies and daily communication abroad.
I would like to thank all the teachers, directors and the whole IH Yangon–Mandalay family for giving me this great opportunity. I really appreciate your support, guidance and encouragement. I am very happy to be part of IH Yangon–Mandalay, and I hope to continue improving my English in the future."
