📢 Job Title: Development Cooperation Assistant (1 position)
📌 Job Description
• Coordinate with relevant local agencies and stakeholders in Myanmar to monitor the implementation of Thailand–Myanmar Development Cooperation projects in accordance with assigned plans and objectives.
• Perform interpretation (Thai–English–Myanmar) during activities or meetings, and translate relevant documents as assigned.
• Participate in field monitoring missions for project implementation, prepare progress reports, and report challenges and obstacles encountered during implementation.
• Support operational tasks related to development cooperation projects, including coordination and facilitation for Thai experts assigned to Myanmar.
• Collect data and prepare reports on project implementation outcomes, and submit reports to the Department of International Cooperation for use in improving and enhancing development cooperation.
• Perform other duties as assigned, including interpretation during discussions, and taking minutes during meetings.
Qualifications
• Thai or Myanmar nationality, aged between 23–37 years, without preference for gender.
• Hold a bachelor’s degree or equivalent or higher in relevant fields.
• Demonstrate excellent proficiency in Thai, English and Myanmar (listening, speaking, reading, and writing).
• Knowledge and understanding of Thailand–Myanmar relations and Myanmar’s development context. Experience in development cooperation will be given special consideration.
• Reside or be able to reside in Yangon during the employment and have the ability to commute conveniently to the workplace.
• Exhibit proficiency in IT systems and key software applications, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Adobe applications.
• Display a professional and presentable appearance, a positive attitude, strong interpersonal skills, and a service-oriented mindset. The applicant must not have any criminal record.
• Demonstrate the ability to work under pressure, manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and uphold the strict confidentiality of work-related information. The Embassy reserves the right to take disciplinary action in the event of any breach of confidentiality.
• Be willing to travel domestically. Per diem allowances will be provided for such assignments.
• No criminal record, particularly offences related to national security.
📌 Terms of Employment and Remuneration
• Regular working hours are from 09.00 to 17.00 hrs, Monday to Friday, excluding weekends and official holidays of the Embassy. Flexibility to work beyond regular hours may be required.
• Contract period: From the agreed start date (assumption of duties) to 30 November 2026.
The contract may be renewed based on performance and other relevant factors.
• The salary is USD 530 per month.

• Written examination and interviews: 20 February 2026
• Announcement of final selection: 23 February 2026
• The selected candidate is expected to commence employment from 2 March 2026 or mutually agreed date.
