📢 Summer Closure Notice – Campus France Myanmar ☀️

🎓 Have you already received your acceptance letter from a French university or higher education institution? If so, please contact us as soon as possible to kick-start your student visa process before the closure (01/08 - 17/08).

The first steps of the French student visa application are:
✅ Creating your Études en France profile
✅ Completing your pedagogical interview with Campus France (ECF)

Last pedagogical interview for the 2026 intake will be held on July 31st 2026.

Don't wait until the last minute! Starting your procedure early will help ensure a smoother visa application process.

Campus France Myanmar wishes to assure all scholarship holders currently studying in France that the terms of their scholarships remain unaffected and are not being called into question.

Only medical and paramedical programs have been affected due to an ongoing legal consideration. Further details will be communicated directly to the students concerned.

🎓 2026 France Excellence Scholarship Results Are In! 🇫🇷

The French Embassy is delighted to announce the results of the 2026 France Excellence Scholarship.

This year, due to budgetary commitments, only one scholarship could be awarded. After careful consideration, the jury has ranked the top five candidates from twelve shortlisted applicants.

🎓 France Reinforces Priorities and Support for International Students 🇫🇷

As part of the “Choose France for Higher Education” strategy, France continues to enhance its academic offer and student support, with a strong focus on excellence and future-oriented fields such as AI, health, environment, energy, and digital technologies.

✅ Key highlights:

• Priority is given to strategic fields, with a target of at least 60% of French government scholarships allocated to these sectors.
• From the 2026 academic year, €1 meals in CROUS university restaurants will be available to all students, regardless of nationality or financial situation.

📌 Tuition fees policy:

The differentiated tuition fees in place will be generalized, with reference amounts set at €2,895/year of Bachelor and €3,941/year of Master. Students holding a French government scholarship remain fully exempted from these fees. As for non-scholarship students, French higher education institutions retain the possibility to grant exemptions, up to 10% of enrolled non-EU students, upon individual request.

🔎 Additional updates:

• The minimum financial requirement for a student visa has been increased to €857/month, reflecting the current cost of living and aiming to prevent student precarity.

• Some administrative fees (residence permits) are being adjusted.

• Housing aid (APL) is being refocused to better support students who need it most. Going forward, it will be targeted toward those who meet the eligibility criteria for need-based scholarships, regardless of nationality. Transitional measures are currently under discussion for students already in France.

⚠️ As some measures are still under review, we recommend following official updates in the coming weeks.

France remains committed to providing a high-quality, inclusive, and forward-looking academic environment for international students.
