ပြီးခဲ့တဲ့ရက်တွေမှာ မန္တလေးက KAWI ရဲ့ ဘော်ဒါတွေစုပြီး ပုံစံခွက် နေ့စဥ်ဘဝကြီးထဲကနေ ခဏလောက် လွင့်ထွက်ခဲ့ကြတယ်။ အလွင့်က ရိုးရိုးသင်တန်းတွေလို ထိုင်နားထောင်နေရုံတင်မဟုတ်ဘဲ Studio တစ်ခုလို၊ Lab တစ်ခုလိုမျိုး ကိုယ့်ဘဝကို လွင့်မျောရင်း ရှာဖွေခဲ့ကြတာပါ။ အလွင့်ရဲ့ လှုပ်ရှားမှုလေးတွေမှာ ဓာတ်ဖမ်းခဲ့သမျှထဲကနေ ကောင်းနိုးရာရာလေးတွေ ပြန်မျှဝေပေးလိုက်ပါတယ်။

ပတ်ဝန်းကျင်ကို ခံစားခြင်း - မျက်စိနဲ့ကြည့်ရုံတင်မဟုတ်ဘဲ Environmental Soundscaping နဲ့ Scent Walking တွေလုပ်ပြီး ပတ်ဝန်းကျင်ကို အာရုံခံစားခဲ့ကြတယ်။

မြို့ပြစူးစမ်းလေ့လာရေး - နန်းရှေ့စျေးကနေ အမျိုးသားကဇာတ်ရုံအထိ မန္တလေးမြို့ရဲ့ နေရာအနှံ့ကို သွားပြီး ဓာတ်ပုံ၊ ဗီဒီယိုတွေနဲ့ မှတ်တမ်းတင်ရင်း မြို့ပြလူနေမှုဘဝတွေကို စူးစမ်းခဲ့ကြတယ်။

How did we "drift" at Ah Lwint?

Over the past few days, the KAWI crew in Mandalay gathered to break free from the "daily mold" of conventional paths. Ah Lwint wasn't just a regular workshop where you sit and listen; it was a mix of a studio and a lab where we explored and "drifted" to find our own purpose. Here are some of our favorite captured moments from the journey:

Sensing the Environment: We did more than just look; we truly felt our surroundings through Environmental Soundscaping and Scent Walking.
Urban Exploration: From Nan Shay Market to the National Theatre, we explored various spots in Mandalay, documenting urban life through photos and videos.
Redefining "Educated": We had deep discussions about what it really means to be "educated" and got hands-on with AI through Teachable Machine Learning to see how it actually works.
Discovering Identity: Through activities like the Labor Auction and Intersectionality Walk, we explored our personal identities, values, and what meaningful work looks like within our society.

The 4-day "Ah Lwint" journey—where we broke out of the mold and rediscovered ourselves—has successfully come to an end!

A huge thank you to all the friends who joined in with such fun and active participation throughout the four days. From self-discovery, urban exploration, and learning about AI, all the way to the Personal Path Exhibition, everyone's energy and creativity were absolutely amazing!

Day 1: မိမိကိုယ်မိမိ သိနားလည်ခြင်း (Self-Discovery)
"ပညာတတ်ဆိုတာ ဘာလဲ?" ဆိုတာကို အတူတူ ဆွေးနွေး အဖြေရှာကြမယ်။ ကိုယ့်ရဲ့ စိတ်ဒဏ်ရာတွေ၊ လူ့အဖွဲ့အစည်းရဲ့ မျှော်လင့်ချက်တွေကို ကုစားဖို့ "Exquisite Co**se" လို့ခေါ်တဲ့ စာရေးလေ့ကျင့်ခန်းတွေ လုပ်မယ်။ Environment နဲ့ ပတ်သက်တဲ့ Soundscape, Smellscape Presentation တွေ လုပ်ကြမယ်။

Day 2: လက်ရှိအခြေအနေနှင့် တွေးခေါ်မှုပုံစံသစ်များ (Thinking & Possibilities)
Ways of Thinking (WoT) နဲ့ Sensing the Elephant လိုမျိုး လှုပ်ရှားမှုတွေကနေတဆင့် သိပ္ပံနည်းကျ/သိပ္ပံနည်းကျမဟုတ်တဲ့ တွေးခေါ်မှုတွေကို လေ့လာမယ်။ Multimedia Urban Exploration နဲ့ မှတ်တမ်းတင်ခြင်းတွေ လုပ်မယ်။ AI ဆိုတာ ဘာလဲ? Machine Learning က ဘယ်လိုအလုပ်လုပ်လဲဆိုတာကို လက်တွေ့ (Practical Demo) နဲ့တကွ လေ့လာကြမယ်။

Day 3: ကိုယ်ပိုင်လမ်းကြောင်း ရှာဖွေခြင်း (Personal Path)
Labour Auction (လုပ်အားလေလံပွဲ) နဲ့ Intersectionality Walk လှုပ်ရှားမှုတွေမှာ ပါဝင်ကြမယ်။ Claymaking (ရွှံ့ရုပ်လုပ်ခြင်း) အစီအစဉ်လည်း ပါဝင်ပါတယ်။

Day 4: ကိုယ်ပိုင်လမ်းကြောင်း ပြခန်း (Personal Path Exhibition)

Melodies of a Four-Day Ah-lwint

For youths who want to break free from the mold and rediscover the "self" that has been lost amidst the standards set by society, the "Ah Lwint" Workshop & Exhibition is here!

What will we do together over the course of 4 days, spanning two weekends?

Day 1: Self-Discovery We will discuss and find answers together to the question: "What does it mean to be educated?" To heal our traumas and the expectations of society, we will do writing exercises called "Exquisite Co**se." (For example: creating fictional stories about an alien's perspective, or humans becoming robotic, etc.). We will also present Soundscapes and Smellscapes related to the Environment.

Day 2: Current Situation & New Ways of Thinking (Thinking & Possibilities) Through activities like Ways of Thinking (WoT) and Sensing the Elephant, we will study scientific and non-scientific thinking. We will engage in Multimedia Urban Exploration and documentation. What is AI? We will learn how Machine Learning works through a practical demo.

Day 3: Finding Your Personal Path We will participate in activities like a Labour Auction and an Intersectionality Walk. A Claymaking session is also included.

Day 4: Personal Path Exhibition We will hold an Exhibition to showcase our findings from the 4 days to friends and family.

During these (4) days, we will:
- Rediscover the self that has been lost.
- Discuss what education really means and explore 21st-century career paths.
- Express our emotions through literature and art (poetry, short stories).
- Learn about AI (Artificial Intelligence) technology and its practical applications.
- Discuss personal identity and the value of labor, while creating crafts like clay sculptures.
- Finally, on the last day, there will be a small exhibition where you can showcase what you have created yourself!

Who can apply?
Any youth between the ages of 18 and 30.

Dates & Time?
February 21, 22, 28 & March 1. (Saturday and Sunday weekends), 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

Location: Mudita Hall, Phaung Daw Oo School, Mandalay.
Fees: Free of Charge. Additionally, lunch and snacks for break times will be provided.

Rediscovering Yourself "Before KAWI, I felt lost and small. After joining, it felt like finding the lost self.” Discussing 'Freedom' brought back memories of forgotten hobbies and passions. Seeing their friends' excitement even inspired some to pick up the guitar again!

From Silence to Speaking Out Even those who usually stay quiet behind turned-off Zoom screens started confidently writing down their thoughts and speaking up. They gained a great new habit of truly listening to themselves.

No Parrot Learning Absolutely no reciting memorized lessons like a parrot! It’s a space where you can freely share ideas and learn to "think outside the box." Since there are no right or wrong answers, there’s no fear of judgment—just a relaxed vibe for learning. (And KAWI’s activities are the real highlight! 😉)

Benefits for the Future What we learned at KAWI will be useful for a lifetime. It solidified our goals and gave us the push to reach them as soon as possible.

Q: Can I edit my application after submitting?
A: Of course! Just go back to the Google Form using the email you applied with and hit "Edit Response." If your mood swings after you submit, feel free to change it. Edit as much as you like until the deadline. Fix it, tweak it, change it!

Q: Is there an age limit? A
: If you are 16 or older, you are welcome! Bros, sissies, besties—everyone is invited. KAWI’s doors are always open.

Q: What if I get rejected?

KAWI is back for all young people who have been traumatized by the "parrot-learning" education system. For those who feel lost, unsure of who you are, what you want to be, or what you want to do, KAWI offers a space to rediscover yourself, completely free of charge.

The program lasts for 3 months from February to April. Sessions are held every Saturday and Sunday (7:00 PM – 9:00 PM) via Zoom in the Burmese language. Assignments outside of Zoom hours are designed to be flexible based on the participants' availability.

For those facing connectivity issues, KAWI also strives to provide a small internet stipend to support your learning.

This isn't a "one-way" education system where the teacher lectures and the student memorizes. Instead, you will experience student-centered, innovative lessons and group activities. It is a space for mutual sharing and peer feedback among youth from diverse backgrounds, helping you find a learning style that truly fits you.
