1.am, is , are ကို main verb အနေနဲ့
နာမည် ကို ပြောတဲ့အခါမှာသုံးလို့ရတယ်

For example,
I am Julia.
She is Sophia.
He is James.

2.အသက်အရွယ် ပြောတဲ့အခါမှာသုံးတယ်
For example,
I am 20.
She is 23.
He is 17.

3.ကိုယ် ဘယ်အရပ်ဒေသက လာတယ် ဒါမှမဟုတ် ပစ္စည်းတစ်ခုခုက ဘယ်အရပ်‌ဒေသက လာလဲ ပြောတဲ့အခါမှာ သုံးတယ်
For example,

4.နောက်ပြီး nationality (လူမျိုး/နိုင်ငံသား) ပြောတဲ့အခါမှာသုံးတယ် ပစ္စည်းတစ်ခုခု အစားအသောက်တစ်ခုခုရဲ့ လာရင်းဒေသကို ပြောတဲ့အခါမှာသုံးတယ်

5.အလုပ်အကိုင်ပြောတဲ့အခါမှာလည်း သုံးတယ်

Possessive 's,s'

's (apostrophe s) နဲ့ s' (s apostrophe)ကို ပိုင်ဆိုင်မှုကို ဖော်ပြတဲ့အခါမျိုးမှာသုံးပါတယ်

ဥပမာ
My brother's phone
My friends' bags
John's glasses

Apostrophe s ('s) နဲ့ s apostrophe ရဲ့ ကွာခြားချက်ကတော့ 's ကို singular nouns (တစ်ခုကိန်းနာမ်) နဲ့ တွဲသုံးတာဖြစ်ပြီး s apostrophe (s') ကို plural nouns (အများကိန်းနာမ်) နဲ့ တွဲသုံးတာပါ

ဥပမာ John's sister
My parents' house

ဒါပေမယ့် irregular plural nouns တွေကိုတော့ apostrophe s ('s) နဲ့ပဲ သုံးပါတယ်
