Present Participle ကို ဘယ်လိုဘာသာပြန်ရမလဲ။ Simple Sentence ဆိုတာဘာလဲ။

Verb (Predicate) တစ်ခုပဲ ရှိတဲ့ sentence ကို simple sentence လို့ ခေါ်ပါတယ်။

Ving ကို Present Participle လို့ ခေါ်ပါတယ်။

ဒီနေ့တော့ Present Participle နဲ့ စာကြောင်း ၂ ကြောင်းကို တစ်ကြောင်း လုပ်တဲ့ အကြောင်း ပြောပါမယ်။

👉He is singing a song with his girlfriend.
သူက သူ့ကောင်မလေးနဲ့ သီချင်းတစ်ပုဒ်ကို ဆိုနေတယ်။

👉He is playing the guitar.
သူက ဂီတာတီးနေတယ်။

ခု အပေါ်က စာကြောင်း နှစ်ကြောင်းကို “သူက သူ့ချစ်သူနဲ့ သီချင်းတစ်ပုဒ်ကို ဂီတာတီးရင်း ဆိုနေတယ်။” ဆိုပြီး တစ်ကြောင်းတည်း လုပ်ကြည့်မယ်။

👉 Singing a song with his girlfriend, he is playing the guitar.
👉 He is playing the guitar, singing a song with his girlfriend.

အဆင်ပြေသလို နှစ်မျိုးလုံး ရေးလို့ရပါတယ်။

မှတ်ချက် ။ ။ participle တွေကို ဘာသာပြန်တဲ့အခါ (cause & effect) ဒါကြောင့်/လို့/သောကြောင့် တိုနဲ့ ဘာသာပြန်ရပါတယ်။ တစ်ချိန်တည်း နှစ်ခုပြိုင်တူဖြစ်တဲ့အရာတွေကိုတော့ ရင်း/လျက် တို့နဲ့ ဘာသာပြန်ရပါတယ်။

ဥပမာ နည်းနည်းထပ်ကြည့်ရအောင်

🚩I read a book.
🚩I drink a cup of coffee.
🏳️ Reading a book, I drink a cup of coffee. Or I drink a cup of coffee, reading a book.

🚩I am thinking about you.
🚩I am smiling.
🏳️Thinking about you, I am smiling. Or I am smiling, thinking about you.

ဒီလောက်ဆိုရင်တော့ Participle နဲ့ စာကြောင်းတည်ဆောက်ပုံကို နားလည်လောက်ပြီလို့ ထင်ပါတယ်။

ဝါကျများရဲ့ ပေါင်းစပ်ခြင်းကို Composition လို့ ခေါ်ပါတယ်။

Composition မှာ

👉 Sentence အနေနဲ့ (Types of Sentences by Structure)

1. Simple Sentence → ဝါကျ တစ်ခုတည်း၊ Independent Clause တစ်ခုပဲ ပါတယ်။ ဥပမာ: She runs fast.

2. Compound Sentence → Independent Clauses နှစ်ခု သို့မဟုတ် အထက်ကို coordinating conjunction (and, but, or, so စသဖြင့်) နဲ့ ချိတ်ထားတယ်။ ဥပမာ: I wanted to go, but it was raining.

3. Complex Sentence → Independent Clause တစ်ခု + Dependent Clause တစ်ခု (သို့မဟုတ် အထက်) ပါတယ်။ ဥပမာ: Although it was raining, we went out.

4. Mixed Sentence (သို့မဟုတ် Compound-Complex Sentence) → Compound နဲ့ Complex ပေါင်းထားတဲ့ ဝါကျ။ Independent Clauses နှစ်ခု အထက် + Dependent Clause ပါတယ်။ ဥပမာ: I called her when she arrived, and she answered immediately.

👉 Clause အနေနဲ့ (Types of Clauses)

1. Independent Clause → သီးသန့် ရပ်တည်နိုင်တဲ့ ဝါကျ အပိုင်း (complete thought) ဥပမာ: He plays football.

2. Adjective Clause (Relative Clause) → Noun ကို ဖော်ပြတယ်၊ who, which, that စသဖြင့် စတယ်။ ဥပမာ: The book that I read is interesting.

3. Noun Clause → Noun လို အလုပ်လုပ်တယ် (subject, object စသဖြင့်) ဥပမာ: What she said surprised me.

4. Adverb Clause → Adverb လို အလုပ်လုပ်တယ် (time, reason, condition စသဖြင့်)။ ဥပမာ: Because it rained, we stayed home.

5. Conditional Clause → အခြေအနေ ပြတဲ့ clause (if, unless စသဖြင့်)။ တစ်ခါတစ်ရံ Adverb Clause ထဲ ပါတယ်။ ဥပမာ: If you study hard, you will pass.

1. Direct Speech → တစ်ယောက်ယောက် ပြောခဲ့တာကို ကိုးကားပုံအတိုင်း ရေးတယ်။ ဥပမာ: She said, "I am tired."

2. Indirect Speech (Reported Speech) → ပြောပြချက်ကို ပြောင်းလဲ ရေးတယ်။ ဥပမာ: She said that she was tired.

👉 Usage အနေနဲ့ (စကားလုံး အသုံးပြုပုံ သို့မဟုတ် စကားလုံး ပြောင်းလဲပုံ အမျိုးအစား)
ဒီအပိုင်းက နည်းနည်း ထူးခြားတယ်။ အချို့ သင်ရိုးတွေမှာ စကားလုံး ပေါင်းစပ်တဲ့ နည်းလမ်း အမျိုးအစားတွေ အနေနဲ့ ခွဲထားတယ်။

1. Transfer → ဝါကျတစ်ကြောင်းကို အရှေ့နဲ့ အနောက်၊ အနောက်နဲ့ အရှေ့ ပြောင်းသုံးပုံ
2. Metaphor → တင်စားသုံးပုံ၊ အထူးပြုပြီးသုံးပုံ
3. Borrowed words → အငှါးယူသုံးပုံ
4. Substitution → အစားထိုးသုံးပုံ

👉 Phrase အနေနဲ့ (Types of Phrases)
Phrase က clause နဲ့ မတူဘဲ subject နဲ့ verb နှစ်ခု မပါတဲ့ စကားစု ကိုခေါ်ပါတယ်။ အဓိက အသုံးများတဲ့ အချို့ကို ဥပမာ နဲ့ ရှင်းပြပါမယ်။

1. Present Participle Phrase → -ing နဲ့ စတယ်။ ဥပမာ: Running fast, he caught the bus.
2. Past Participle Phrase → -ed/-en နဲ့ စတယ်။ ဥပမာ: Tired from work, she slept early.
3. Adjective Phrase → Adjective လို အလုပ်လုပ်တယ်။ ဥပမာ: very happy
4. Infinitive Phrase → to + verb။ ဥပမာ: To win the game is his dream.
5. Split Infinitive → to နဲ့ verb ကြား တစ်ခုခု ပါတာ (ဥပမာ: to boldly go)
6. Prepositional Phrase → အသုံးအများဆုံး၊ in the morning, with friends စသဖြင့်။
7. Gerundial Phrase (Gerund Phrase) → Gerund (-ing) နဲ့ စတယ်၊ noun လို အလုပ်လုပ်တယ်။ ဥပမာ: Swimming in the sea is fun.
8. Adverbial Phrase → Adverb လို အလုပ်လုပ်တယ်။ ဥပမာ: with great care
9. Absolute Phrase → ဝါကျ တစ်ခုလုံးကို ပြင်ဆင်ပေးတယ်၊ သီးခြား ရပ်တည်နိုင်တယ်။ ဥပမာ: Weather permitting, we will go.
10. Verbal Noun Phrase → Gerund နဲ့ ဆင်တယ်။
11. Abstract Noun Phrase → Abstract noun ပါတဲ့ phrase။

ပထမဆုံးနေ့အတွက် သင်ခန်းစာက ဒီလောက်ပါပဲ။ ကြာသပတေးနေ့ညမှာ Simple Sentence နဲ့ Present Participle သုံးပုံကို စလေ့လာပါမယ်။ 😊

အပေါ်က ပုံစံကိုတော့ sentence အမျိုးအစား ၄ မျိုးထဲက Simple Sentence လို့ ခေါ်ပါတယ်။ ဒီလို တည်ဆောက်ပုံကတော့ Writing ကို အခြေခံက စလေ့လာချင်တဲ့ ကျောင်းသားတွေအတွက် သင့်တော်ပါတယ်။
