Some people believe that high-priced fuel is a particular solution to global environmental issues. From my view, I strongly disagree with this initiative, as fuel is one of the most fundamental requirements of the modern world, and there are still other causes of environmental problems.
Firstly, it is said that fuel plays a vital role in every development all over the world. Without it, 80% of the world's economic system would be immediately down, leading to delays in logistics, running out of electricity, and so on. Even a small business owned by a family could find difficulties because of rising fuel prices. For example, the conflict in 2025 led to the closure of the Strait of Hormuz, and consequently, everyone experienced severe petroleum shortages and high expenses for oil. Therefore, not only does increasing the price of fuel not give solutions to major environmental challenges, but it also makes the public, especially low-income households, struggle more.
Secondly, to solve environmental problems, what matters most is to reduce the use of vehicles that emit smoke and to grow more plants yearly. Instead of machines, some work can be done in traditional ways with human power. It means that reducing the use of vehicles rather than increasing fuel prices is more effective. Moreover, this approach would bring long-term advantages to the world. Additionally, as the number of trees is directly proportional to air quality, planting a specified number of plants annually would be one of the major solutions to environmental issues.
In conclusion, the environment can be protected efficiently without raising fuel prices, and there are also alternative ways to find out solutions to worldwide environmental challenges. As for the above facts, I fully disagree with the idea that the only way to solve environmental problems is making fuel prices expensive.
