Be going to
(1)Use be going to+infinitive without to(e.g.do,say,have)for predictions about the future based on what we see or know now.
1-The dragon is very angry-it’s going to eat you!
2-The water is cold.I’m not going to swim.
(2)Often be going to+ infinitive without to shows that something is going to happen immediately or very soon.
1-Be careful,it’s going to fall!
2-Julie is working too hard.She’s going to get ill.

Since
Since is followed by a time (e.g.6 o’clock,yesterday),a year or date (e.g.1945),or an event (e.g.the end of the war)
(1)There hasn’t been a world war since 1945.
(2)Things have changed a lot since the end of the war.
*****Note that we use since with the Present Perfect(e.g. have changed).But a verb after since is about an event,and it must be in the Past Simple.
Things have changed a lot since the war ended.
