ဒီနေ့မှာတော့ At နဲ့ တွဲတဲ့ phrasal verb လေးတွေကို စပြီးလေ့လာကြမယ်နော်...
1. Look at – to see or watch
eg. Please look at the board.
ကျေးဇူးပြု၍ သင်ပုန်းကို ကြည့်ပါ။
2. Laugh at – to make fun of someone/something
eg. Don’t laugh at him.
သူ့ကို မရယ်ပါနဲ့။
3. Shout at – to speak loudly/yell in anger
eg. Her mother shouts at her as she doesn’t do any household chores.
သူ(မ) အိမ်အလုပ်တွေ မလုပ်တဲ့အတွက် အမေက သူ(မ)ကို အော်ဆူတယ်။
4. Smile at – to show happiness to someone
eg. She smiles at me.
သူ(မ)က ကျွန်တော့်ကို ပြုံးပြတယ်။
5. Listen at – to listen carefully (specific location/ less common)
eg. He listened at the door.
သူ တံခါးနားမှာ နားထောင်နေခဲ့တယ်။
6. Work at – to try hard to improve something
eg. She is working at her English.
သူ(မ) English တိုးတက်ဖို့ ကြိုးစားနေတယ်။
7. Point at – to show something with your finger
eg. He pointed at the picture.
သူ ပုံထဲမှာ ထောက်(ညွှန်)ပြခဲ့တယ်။
8. Stare at – to look for a long time
eg. Don’t stare at people. That’s rude!!
လူတွေကို စိုက်မကြည့်နဲ့။ ဒါရိုင်းတာပဲ။
9. Throw at – to send something toward someone/something
eg. She threw the ball at me.
သူ(မ)က ငါ့ဆီ ဘောလုံး ပစ်ပေးခဲ့တယ်။
10. Get at – to reach / to mean
eg. What are you getting at?
မင်း ဘာကို ဆိုလိုတာလဲ။
11. Arrive at – to reach a place (small place) or conclusion
eg. We arrive at the station.
ငါတို့ ဘူတာရုံကို ရောက်ပြီ။
12. Be good at – to have skill in something
eg. I’m good at dancing.
ငါ ကတာ တော်တယ်။
13. Be bad at – not skilled at something
eg. I’m bad at drawing
ငါ ပုံဆွဲတာ ညံ့တယ်။
14. Aim at – to point or intend
eg. He aimed at the target.
သူ ပစ်မှတ်ကို ချိန်ရွယ်ခဲ့တယ်။
