Humanity Institute Vision: Society prospered with human dignity, freedom, equality, justice and peace in Northern Myanmar.

The armed conflict resumed in Kachin State in 2011 has resulted in the gross human rights violations. The helpless suffering of the victims was the driving force that makes the people from different backgrounds come together and form the local human rights organization. Humanity Institute was founded on January 4, 2012 with a vision to build a society prospered with human dignity, freedom, equalit

y, justice, and peace in Northern Myanmar. In order to achieve the vision of the organization, the working structure, the policy and human rights issues to be focused for the year of the organization are decided by the Board of Directors. There are two core units, Human Rights & Legal Department and School of Arts and Social Sciences in Executive Committee to undertake the tasks of education, legal consultation and aid, and social science research and publication. Currently, the organization is in registration process and its alternative name is "Human Rights Action Group (Northern Myanmar)".

Business grant call introduction and products fair was held on last June 16 in Myitkyina. The call is for women led businesses and has been desdminated through Myitkyina Business Page (Facebook). The respective micro and small scale producers and enterprenurers have joined a one day event. The intention is to provide supports to emerging and potential local productions. Base on the assessment, the supports will be given for the most related areas such as technical, market, equippments and licensing processes. We throughly appreciate our participants, staff and partner for joining and supporting the event.

စီးပွားရေးလုပ်ငန်းဆိုင်ရာ ထောက်ပံ့ကြေးလျှောက်လွှာခေါ်ယူခြင်း မိတ်ဆက်ပွဲနှင့် ထုတ်ကုန်ပစ္စည်းပြပွဲ ကို ပြီးခဲ့သည့် ဇွန်လ ၁၆ ရက်နေ့က မြစ်ကြီးနားမြို့၌ ကျင်းပခဲ့ပါသည်။ ဤထောက်ပံ့ကြေးအစီအစဉ်သည် အမျိုးသမီးများ ဦးဆောင်သည့် စီးပွားရေးလုပ်ငန်းများအတွက် ရည်ရွယ်ခြင်းဖြစ်ပြီး အသေးစိတ်အချက်အလက်များကို Myitkyina Business Center (page) မှတစ်ဆင့် ဖြန့်ဝေအသိပေးထားပါသည်။

အဆိုပါ တစ်ရက်တာအစီအစဉ်သို့ သက်ဆိုင်ရာ အသေးစားနှင့် အလတ်စား ကုန်ထုတ်လုပ်သူများနှင့် လုပ်ငန်းရှင်များ တက်ရောက်ခဲ့ကြသည်။ ယခုပွဲ ကျင်းပရခြင်း၏ ရည်ရွယ်ချက်မှာ ပေါ်ထွက်လာဆဲဖြစ်သော (သို့မဟုတ်) အလားအလာရှိသော ကုန်ထုတ်လုပ်မှုလုပ်ငန်းများကို ပံ့ပိုးကူညီပေးရန် ဖြစ်ပါသည်။

In the last week of May, community members/leaders from target areas, some civil society organization and HI's staff have attained basic awareness training on community forestry through online for 3 days. Some community members joined via online and some came from remote areas. The training aim to help the participants to apply in their areas. We deeply thank to our participants, trainer, project team and our partner for supporting the training.

မေလနောက်ဆုံးပတ်တွင် ဦးတည်ဒေသမှဒေသခံလူထုကိုယ်စားလှယ်များ/ခေါင်းဆောင်များ၊ အရပ်ဘက်လူမှုအဖွဲ့အစည်းအချို့နှင့် HI ဝန်ထမ်းများသည် ၃ ရက်တာ လူထုအခြေပြုသစ်တောလုပ်ငန်း (Community Forestry) ဆိုင်ရာ အခြေခံအသိပညာပေးသင်တန်းကို အွန်လိုင်းမှတစ်ဆင့် တက်ရောက်ခဲ့ကြပါသည်။ အချို့သော ဒေသခံများသည် အွန်လိုင်းမှ တိုက်ရိုက်ပူးပေါင်းပါဝင်ခဲ့ကြပြီး အချို့မှာမူ ဝေးလံခေါင်သီသော ဒေသများမှ လာရောက်တက်ရောက်ခဲ့ကြသည်။ အဆိုပါသင်တန်းသည် သင်တန်းသားများအနေဖြင့် မိမိတို့ဒေသများတွင် ပြန်လည်အသုံးချနိုင်စေရန် ရည်ရွယ်ပါသည်။ သင်တန်းဖြစ်မြောက်အောင် ကူညီပံ့ပိုးပေးခဲ့ကြသော သင်တန်းသားများ၊ သင်တန်းဆရာ၊ စီမံကိန်းအဖွဲ့နှင့် ကျွန်ုပ်တို့၏ မိတ်ဖက်အဖွဲ့အစည်းတို့အား အထူးပင် ကျေးဇူးတင်ရှိပါသည်။

Waste management, natural resource management and governance workshops were conducted at the hotspot areas in Waing Maw and Myitkyina townships. Youths, women and men joined in the workshops. The workshops aimed to raise public awareness and voices on their concerns and promote accountability of decision makers for their actions. Thanks to community facilitators, communities, religious leaders, resource persons, project team and partners for supporting us.

စီးပွားရေးအသေးစားပံ့ပိုးရရှိသူများမှအချို.အဖွဲ.များ၏ တိုးတက်မှုပုံရိပ်များဖြစ်ပါသည်။ အချို့မှာစျေးကွက်သို့ရောက်ရှိကာဝင်ငွေရနေပါပြီးအချို.မှာစျေးကွက်သို့ဝင်ရောက်ရန်​ခြေလှမ်းပြင်နေပါပြီ။ စိန်ခေါ်မှုအခက်အခဲများကြားကြိိုးပမ်းအားထုတ်ခဲ့သော တောင်သူများ၊ နည်းပညာရှင်များ၊ စီမံကိန်းဝန်ထမ်းများနှင့် ပံ့ပိုးသောအလှူရှင်များကိုများစွာကျေးဇူးတင်အပ်ပါသည်။

HI has provided awareness session on Youth and Environment at the Anglican youth camp. As the youths are new generation, it is important to build our environment together with them. Their voices and actions matter for our future society. The session was given to around 150 youths. We thank to responsible persons for inviting us.

Skill training sessions were conducted for the new business grant recipients. The trainings werw given to some groups of 15 new recipients. The training sessions are given base on their preference and the market and for them to foster their values in production and marketing. We can't thank enough to our trainers, stakeholders, our community volunteers, staff and partner for supporting in conducting the trainings successfully.
